@KPcpt Everything in SA is about race. What parallel universe have you been living in. Tell me why is the Coloureds not in control of the WC while other races control the provinces they are the majority in ie KZN, EC, FS, MP. Etc.

Not every Coloured is of Khoe or San descent..us Coloureds in Durban are of ZULU and European descent
We the so-called colourd will never be free if oure younger generations donknow about oure struggles from early years and that generations stay cleare of the negative's of mixed as in coming from all those that marginalize oure forefathers of their inheritance as first people (nation) of this beautiful country
Why are we looking for a “Messiah” to tell our story. That’s the problem with coloured people. We allow Afrikaners to tell our story cause we don’t believe we can. I for one trust Gayton the be fair handed to everyone, not just coloureds. blame.

This department has been so ignored and undervalued but I’m glad to hear other believe in the serious intrinsic potential it has to keep SA on the world stage. Imagine we could start supporting and developing our local artists and creating a functioning movie industry, creating countless jobs and training more world class technicians. We could lead this in the southern hemisphere. But our govt still believe in the mineral economy

Gayton is passionate and excited but has no experience. I think his Ministry is best placed for someone learning, and any mistakes he makes will not have a devastating effect to the economy.
That’s exactly how the govt thinks of this dept and it’s a big mistake. But I believe that the man is smart and energetic enough to learn the ropes fairly quickly and make positive change. Let’s give him a chance.
Ismael come into this interview with emotions. He hates Gayton for not speaking against Israel. This is not objective analysis at all. Minister Mckenzie paid his due to society so stop holding his past against him but judge him on what he is doing now

Sports are in a good space in this country, the only problem in SA Sports is the same as most of this governmental iniquities ( affirmative action x soccer where form don't matter, the arts and cultural out of Sports to its people as rainbow, it's only exist in the majority where as it was imposed on the majority to multiply 10 fold as quickly as possible now the minority has to suffer whereas those instigated should b held accountable now in power.

How is Gayton Mckenzie the best person for the job of sports minister? All the comments seem to be celebrating that he's coloured but apart from that, how is he the best person to have a say in our national rugby, cricket, soccer teams etc. What can he add to our Olympic hopes etc?
I remember running battles with police during the 80's and could jump over walls. Is this perhaps the reason why GM has been appointed to this portfolio? Perhaps not my reason for doing high jump for Gayton, other reasons. Perhapa he was good in high jump, 😂😂

good morning ...I saw Gayton's personal video and comment on the election of his new post. In a funny way, the green PA shirt that he wears already looks like a soccer jersey. Now that's where it got interesting, Gayton emphasises that he will enable soccer matches with 'winning money' of proportions not yet seen. This alone is the biggest red flag. Gayton in no uncertain terms has made it clear that his underlying reason for being in politics is to make money. Everyone who is involved in professional soccer would know about the sculduggery behind the scenes and the kind of money involved(this is by no means saying he will do it but rather an insight into his behaviour that hints toward such possible action) Then he emphasised that he loves libraries but not in a way of upliftment but in the sense of romanticising the smell of books. Then he got all emotional and emphasised that he is doing this ALL for his supporters (but no emphasis on the entire country) Absolutely NO mention of the art sector. But Soccer yes and money orientated soccer yes!. Makes one wonder.
If his results match his ego , it will be impressive.

@@jn8922 NO. Not what im saying. Our system provides for former convicted persons to be in politics - if they’ve served their time and only after several years. He satisfies all the aforementioned. You want to keep this man down after serving his time? If he is fit for purpose (not physically) then let him serve his constituents. If you can change, so can he and so can I.
