  • The Patriotic Alliance (PA) leader Gayton McKenzie and Mayor of the Central Karoo District Municipality in the Western Cape Province says he's going to show South African politicians how to lead from the front. McKenzie was recently elected Mayor and sparked conversation when he declined perks that come with the position and instead even opted to donate 100% of his salary to the much needed work to transform the municipality for better. He joins us in studio

    Coloured people in the Western Cape must show love to the PA in the next elections. The DA has gotten so comfortable in neglecting the coloured people after they absorbed the ID party. It's time to flip the script

    There are many politicians who are sitting in parliament who should be in jail. They have no right to call anyone a criminal, just because they have never faced charges for stealing from our coffers. If they had to face the charges for stealing our taxes, there would be no one left in Parliament. I respect Gayton for paying his debt to society by doing his time. How dare that people call him a criminal. Eskom, VBS, Prasa and all our SOE's are finished today, because of the looting by our politicians.

      The DA believes in the rule of law and would deport foreigners who are in SA illegally, but those who have visas/ permits legally, would be allowed to stay.

      @@tonitappous2422 Don't tell me about political websites, I've been to the townships and lived, the conditions are not improving but getting worse. It is like a concentration camp. I believe the PAs policies will save Cape Town townships if implemented. The PA has robust policies that are controversial however they are desperately needed e.g cleaning up, illegals out, death penalty, attacking corruption, building housing and infrastructure etc
      The DA is enjoying keeping people in concentration camp like conditions with crime and gangsterism at an all time high.

      @@heathermbambeni529 The DA was the only party to continue with school feeding programmes during the lockdown in the Western Cape because the party realised that the school meal was the main meal of the day for many, many poor school children. They also took the national'government to court to compel the national government to do the same in the other provinces and they succeeded.
      In the poor communities in Cape Town, the DA launched the LEAP programme to put more boots on the ground in gang- ridden areas and this intervention is making a real difference. See The Time for Change Rally - CZcams for more info on LEAP.

    No matter how we may perceive him the country needs someone of his caliber at this stage. I remember back in the 80's how he chased everyone out of their classrooms to go participate in an ANC march or something. The fire has always been there so let's wait and see..
