‘A sorry mess’: Harry and Meghan’s charity declared ‘delinquent’

- Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s charity, the Archewell Foundation, has been declared "delinquent" in the United States by the state of California.
California Attorney General Rob Bonta issued the delinquency notice on May 3 and said it was for “failing to submit required annual report(s) and/or renewal fees”.
Sky News host Rita Panahi branded the scandal a “sorry mess” and questioned why the proper paperwork was not filed.
It was never a charity, it was always a Go Fund Me page.

That story got the usual treatment of being buried!!! @randomme - Yeah, the whole "the check is in the mail" is really stupid. The first one "wasn't received" so you're going to send another one the same way? The fee itself is only $200.00! And as you mentioned, digital payments, which still provide tracking, are more secure, AND are preferred by almost everyone. They're apparently 15 MONTHS delinquent, so this goes back to LAST YEAR, and INCLUDES a detailed accounting of WHERE the funds were spent, and my guess is they're trying to avoid THOSE disclosures. We can all guess the money's gone for all these trips, private jets, excessive security that isn't needed, fancy hotels & restaurants and of course her ridiculously expensive jewelry and ill-fitting clothes. It truly ISN'T JUST about a $200.00 yearly fee; it's about the fraud they're committing.
They still have their place. Paying temporary workers in some businesses with checks is still common. Marriage licenses in some municipalities may require payment with a money order. The registration process may require it.
