As a side note, I’m also rather envious about the weather in your state. I live in the Netherlands and we’ve had nothing but cold rain and storms the last three months. One day I will do a U.S. bike trip! Keep the rubber side down!

Good comparison, Randy. You and I have the same bike and I shopped both before I ever took delivery of the SB almost one yr ago. I went with the Saddlemen because of aesthetics; yet I really wanted to buy the LePera. The thing that pushed me toward the Step Up was how it's flush with the tank. I just clocked 12K miles and love it. Yes, it's firm, but I like that. I'll shop LePera for my next bike, though, for sure. Thanks for the continued, great content.
Thank you for the good and honest review. Do you have gel in your LePera ? And how long can you ride on it ? The website says it makes the seat harder but easier on the long rides... On my Wide Glide with the stock seat, I need to throw in my Airhawk after only 200 miles. I wonder if I should get the LePera with gel or not... Ride safe !

But you are saying saddlemen is lower to the ground to flat foot than LA perra. If la perra is not as tall as saddlemen then laperra should be more lower to the ground and more easier to flat foot. No?

The saddlmen has gel. Im not sure about the le pera. Both seats are good for a tank of gas (3 gallon) by then i want a rest anyway

I like the eliminator better. I got the twin slash off craigslist cheap temporarily. Both are good. I just like the 300s better

@@sanemonk1 sorry it's been awhile. There is not a really big difference there. The le pera is more comfortable in general. They are both good choices
