    I put this in my "classical and prog" playlist with a version of "Bells of Moscow" played by Rach himself (from piano rolls). Thanks for the upload!

    I like how they borrowed the theme of Rachmananov's Bells Of Moscow. On the same album, they incorporate a Chopin motif in "Prologue". Can't deny their classic influences!

      That is what this band was all about the first unique Symphonic Rock band nothing like it back in the 70s, the true pioneers period

    They were so good live. Saw them with ELO during ELO's 'Third Day' period.

    Answering my own question. This is an outtake from the album, but it's now on the new expanded version.

    yes, a majority of (if not all) pioneering progressive rock bands were very much classically influenced. i think that's a little more prominent in the works of renaissance than others, especially in the piano.

    Is this from the 1976 Carnegie Hall gig, omitted from the original LP but included in the re-mastered CD ?

    I have this on a 12 inch sampler of Renaissance.

      I was hoping it would be included on the CD version of the album but it never happened.

      When did that sampler come out? Was it on the Sire label?

    • @alandutton
      @alandutton Před 7 lety

      I think 1977. It was on Sire and was a promo for Radio stations. I found it at a record store dealing in Collectables.

    A little slow. Both Jon and Annie's voices are too low. It is also a minute longer than usual. Nice find, though.

      I think it's longer because the tape runs slow. Needs to be time corrected. But a nice sounding version.
