Barbra Pepper was hot stuff boy, love her naught dance. She was a good friend of Lucille Ball and played in quite a few I Love Lucy episodes. Cute little Maxine Doyle, a Dorothy Lee look alike, started out as a chorus girl for Busby Berkley. Her 1st movie was Footlight Parade and later she was one of those "beautiful Dames" in Dames; she is easy to spot Buzz would put her right out front.

Barbara Pepper the blonde with the New York accent, played Mrs Ziffele on both petticoat Junction and later Green acres television programs. She was a heavy drinker and she looked 30 years older than she really was. The poor woman died at the age of 54. And she actually had to leave the park playing Doris Ziffel three years before Greenacres was canceled. She was replaced by another actress. She was up for playing Ethel Mertz in I Love Lucy as she was Lucille Ball‘s closest friend from their Ziegfield days, but they had already cast William Frawley who was a drinker. They didn’t want two drinkers. Sad.
