- I ate one of the best steaks in Las Vegas at Bobby Flay's Mesa Grill at Caesars Palace Las Vegas. Caesars Palace also has some of the best steaks in Las Vegas at the Old Homestead steakhouse, but for a Bobby Flay restaurant on the Las Vegas Strip, this steak was my favorite. Caesars Palace has plenty of other best places to eat steak in Las Vegas like Joe's Seafood, Prime Steak and Stone Crab in the Forum Shops at Caesars Palace.

Sorry, that place is meh, waaaaaaay overpriced. Much better options in town for same or less money. I will say the duck blue corn quesadilla was pretty awesome, but for $50 it better be. I’m a Vegas local, so listen, or don’t. Lotus of Siam, Raku, Milos at Cosmopolitan, or if you need steak, Delmonico by Emeril at Venetian. Want to be blown away? Whole Thai garlic lobster at Lotus, cheaper than this place and miles above it.

Charles Smith it’s been rumored for a while, but it is true and has been announced that Mesa Grill will be closing to rebrand as an Italian concept by Flay named Amalfi. Mesa always did a great job, but it’s likely run it’s course.

The prices you payed were on par with the big chain steak houses here on the east
coast, but the quality was a few steps above. Your Fiancée is delightful! The dinner conversation has greatly improved. I can't wait for the buffet reviews, but judging
from some other Las Vegas channels, they may never return to normal. If they get

He had to give her a decent amount of his steak because that little pepper she got ain't filling anybody up. They should have given her two peppers or at least a side dish of some kind. But, I will admit that steak looked phenomenal.
The Tiger Prawn Tamale is the best bite of food I've ever had.
I watched this one twice. This was highly recommended last time I was there and passed it by. It’s a must when I head out next spring.

I was lucky enough to experience Mesa Grill a few years ago. Absolutely loved the ribeye. I think its a place you have to visit while doing Vegas! Thanks for the vids Derek and Fiance

I really like the Mesa Grill. I had their tuna tartar nachos and the chiliquiles. Great Service too, my water never got half way finished before they refilled. It is pricey but it’s not an everyday restaurant. Great Review!

Another great video Derek! I had dinner at Mesa Grill long ago and it was very good. I have Bobby’s Mesa Grill cookbook and I made the blue corn muffins. They were pretty and tasty!
Those looked very interesting however, a little dry looking. Perhaps they are supposed to be that way? IDK.

THE Steakhouse at Circus-Circus!
You had $38.00 in just the appetizers. That's pretty crazy pricing. And $12.00 for that little helping of mashed potatoes. I guess Vegas is becoming the new NYC, but I just can't see 151.00 for the meal without drinks or tip.
Many of the high end restaurants at Caesars are meant to be enjoyed complimentary by gamblers, or convention groups that are writing off everything as a business expense, although Mesa isn't actually more expensive than most of the marquee dining rooms on the Strip (Gallagher's at NYNY costs about the same as this.) There's always the steakhouse at Circus Circus, it has a lot of fans because a lot more people can afford it.
Ever since Vegas threw out the mob and went corporate it has never been the same, according to the old timers that I worked with there.
I also imagine with less business (cuz of covid) they are making up for less volume by higher prices, less discounts and comps.
@@michaelc657 Circus Circus in Reno has a top notch steak house that is very affordable, at least it was when I lived there in '99/'00.
I guess there is a reason I don't go to Vegas anymore. They can have their inflated prices and resort fees and all that. I'll take a beach and some fresh seafood any day over that place.

Cheryl: There is a genetic component involved in people's smell and taste that determines how they perceive cilantro(coriander). On average about 25% of people find the taste and aroma objectionable. I'm one of them!
