Yesterday I had trouble trying to use a Register Reward. The manager told me since it said 'compliments of P&G', I had to use it to purchase a P&G product. I didn't think that was correct. Thanks for a complete and understandable explanation.

This is so helpful, I've had an issue with being redirected to the Catalina company for the missing RR, they sent it out to me, got it 3 weeks after its expired date. I went to 2 different locations because none of the managers wanted to push it thru because it was expired. I explained the situation and neither 1 of them budged. So when the RR didn't print out I did return the items and tried again on a different day. Or I would try another location depending what the deal was.
I’m so glad you found it helpful. That is SO frustrating about the Catalina company. I think Walgreens should have ownership in this since they are advertising the deal in their ad and in the store.

I was so confused as to how I could use the many register rewards I would earn from doing RR deals but I could never figure out the right combinations of using them. This one Lady said you can use the rewards coupon if you use the digital coupon FIRST then put your phone number in to make sure the digital coupon takes. After you see they take then use the reward coupon and have the cashier scan a filler item as you said then it will take off the full rewards amount.

Thank you so much for making this video 💛 I went to Walgreens today to use my $5 RR for the first time and it was a hot mess. I wish I had watched this video before going. I was trying to buy one pack of Scott TP for $5 and two bottles of the 99 cents Palmolive Dish Liquids. I had the $1 Scott digital coupon & the $1.25 Scott IVC. The IVC came off but my $1 digital for the Scott dissapeared after my register reward was scanned and my total was displayed. I couldn't understand what I was doing wrong. I voided the transaction and left feeling embarrassed 😳

Yes Girl. I feel you on that one. When i first started a Cashier tried to keep my RR. She just laid it to the side. I politely asked her if that was mine. She said Oh sure most ppl throw them away. I said Well I can't even do that if you don't give it to me. I try not to use her anymore.

So the difference between a register reward that is manufacturer and a register reward that says store, how many store register rewards can I use in 1 transaction? And can I use a register reward that says store to buy an item that is supposed to pop a register reward from the manufacturer? :) I learned to coupon at walgreens 10 years ago, and gave it up and found cvs... The recent toilet paper deal brought me back and man it is so much harder to coupon at walgreens!! lol Thank you for your videos they have really helped me get back into the swing of things!

Do you have to make sure the rr is going to a different manufacture product or just not the same product you purchased for. What I mean is, the rr was for crest, a pg item, could we then use it on a tide deal and still get back a rr if the tide deal is giving that. These are both P&G products but can we use the rr on this or do we need to use for a different manufacture deal like a dove deal?

Am I able to use a $5RR (assuming if so, I am only able to use one RR?) when I purchase 2 Huggies for $21. I have 1 paper coupon also for $2.50 off.
If it’s a manufacturer RR, that is fine. If it says store coupon at the top- don’t use that one with a spend booster because it’ll reduce your spend amount.
I have one more question please ma’am, can I do the Gillette deal that offers $4.00 RR, the Gillette deal that offers $5.00 RR and the Oral B in the same transaction and get three RR’s? Thanks for you help.

Hey Christina! Great video and information this helps alot!! I do have a question about the 20% off coupons that the catalina machine prints. So right now i have 20% of total purchas of $10 or more for regular priced items. I was looking to use this on a scott tp or pt deal. There are 1.25 IVCs for scott. Im not sure if the IVC's will interfere with the 20% since its a store coupon? 🤔 would i need to buy 3 pack so that the total would be 11.25 AFTER the ivc? Im nervous to try it so thought id ask first😊
That’s a great question. And, in all honesty, this is a guess!! I think you would need to buy 3. I think once those IVCs kick in, the 20% wouldn’t come off with just two. If you try it with 2, I’d LOVE to know the answer.
I just seen a video where the lady uses a 20% off Catalina and Anything that was Not full price. Did Not get the discount. It Only worked for her items that rang up for full price with no discounts or promotions.

FYI - I DID contact the Catalina company and filed 5 claims (each one had to be separate). I did that a week ago and today, I received FIVE coupons in the mail, totaling $21. So it totally works to contact me. Other than that, Walgreens basically told me that I'm out if I didn't contact them, because Walgreens won't issue them in Walgreens cash anymore.

Great video! You need to train the Walgreen cashiers AND their Customer Service Agents since no one affiliated with WG could explain it to me.
Tonight, I purchased 10 items…diligently selecting items without new RR or CR offers and I had no other coupon. I was expecting to be able to use 10 RR (yes, I made sure the item cost was more than the RR value). Unfortunately, their system would only allow 3 RR to be used. Very disappointed. Should I return the items, I lose the RR value spent since they applied a portion of the RR total accepted to each item.
If I had purchased each item in separate transactions, each item could have had the RR applied, so disappointed it didn’t work in one transaction. Live and learn.

Yay!! Glad it was helpful! The only way you wouldn’t receive a register rewards when paying with WC is if the register rewards deal is “spend” based. Like “spend $30, get $10 RR”. Otherwise, using WC is totally fine!

You can do different RR deals in one transaction and earn multiple Register rewards. If there is a Colgate deal for buy 2, get $3 RR and a different deal on crest for buy3, get $5 register rewards: you can buy two Colgate and 3 crest and you’ll get a $3 and a $5 in one transaction. They just have to be different deals.

Yes. It will print if you do a curbside order. Not if you do an online shop to store order, though
Is it okay to use a register reward with a digital coupon if the digital coupon requires you to buy 2 items? Say you have a digital coupon that says $6 off purchase of 2 cosmetic products and you want to use a register reward, will both digital coupon and register reward apply?
If I use RR to pay will it only take off the amount of the item it attaches to or will it take off the full value of the coupon from the total of the all items?
For example: If I have two $5 RR and I am purchasing
Shampoo @ $8
Soap @ $2
Will the $5 RR attach to the $2 soap? What then happens to the remaining $3 RR value?

I know this is off topic but how is the tax different at one Walgreens then the other both in the same town both under the same tax code but when you do a curbside one is cheaper than the other when you use coupons
It’s a great question. But it might be above my pay grade. I noticed slight differences within the same city as well. Sales tax is calculated by combining state, city, county, special taxing districts and local area tax added together. So, it sounds like certain areas around you fall into those “special categories” changing the price slightly.

Would they hand me the paper mnft coupon back or if it was a digital would it go back into the clipped coupons in my acct or do I take the risk and lose it forever.
Yes. You would get it back because it wasn’t actually used.

Yes, you can. Store register rewards are like store coupons. You just can’t use on the same deal and get another one.

What about the differences on paying with a manufacture vs store RR?
You can only use one store RR per transaction, but more than one manufacturer RR can be used. The store RR lowers your total for a spend deal. So, if it’s “spend $20, get $5” a store RR will reduce your spend amount whereas a manufacturer RR will not
I think oral b crest and Colgate are all the same manufacturer because all of my register rewards say compliments of colgate-pomolive. I was going to try to roll them if they were different

ok i understand it’s one coupon per item and maybe i missed this but what if you buy two items and used a MFR coupon for “$1 off TWO” for example. could you use a register reward since that’s one coupon or no because the coupon applied to both items?
You can still use a RR in that situation.
If you do and online order including items with qualifying rr how do you get them?
Online orders don’t qualify for RR. However, Curbside orders DO! and you would receive your RR when you pick up your curbside order.

Without seeing them it’s hard to know. If they are paper rewards that printed at the register, yes. The 20% off 10 definitely is.

You can definitely use someone else’s RR. A store RR will always work in that situation you mentioned. I’ve had the manufacturer RRs work and not work in that scenario. It should work just fine, though

Yes. But a lot of times when I use a RR, my digital coupons don’t seem to come off correctly. But, technically, yes you can

You can only use the $5 off 3.

RR are NOT attached to a specific account. Share away! You can use them at any time before expiration date. Deals like “buy” and “spend” are not considered coupons nor are weekly deals considered coupons.

A manufacturer RR, yes. Store RR, no.
Christina, if I have a digital Coupon for instance that is five dollars off of two products, can I still use a register reward on the second item since the first coupon requires me to purchase two, Since he would actually be a second item for the register reward to attach to?
