- In Part 3 of our backyard session series, the boys play through a stripped version of a family favorite “NOT SAFE”. The album version of this song is an abrasive, electric guitar driven song that makes you feel something, and get a speeding ticket. When we reimagined this song, we didn’t want it to lose any of that energy and feeling. Moody, and Heavy, yet fun, and energizing.
The idea of Not Safe is inspired by C.S Lewis’ The Lion, The Witch, and The Wardrobe. “Aslan is a lion- the Lion, the great Lion." "Ooh" said Susan. "I'd thought he was a man. Is he-quite safe? I shall feel rather nervous about meeting a lion"..."Safe?" said Mr Beaver ..."Who said anything about safe? 'Course he isn't safe. But he's good. He's the King, I tell you.”

You guys might be my favorite band all time now. You bring up the nostalgia of all the Christian punk that fueled my childhood, but with theology that brings me to my knees daily. Thanks guys. Praising the Lord for the gifts he's given each of you to share Him in such a rad way.

Kind of a New age theology intertwined gotta be sharpened to catch the drift...needs some personal reflection in Scripture for making disciples but whatever works for Christ’s sake to reach people. I like the creativity!
