As a Nats fan, I think the Nationals and Dodgers share respect and an unlikely strong connection towards one another thanks to a string of events over recent years.
Dodgers beat the Nats in 2016 NLDS, Nats beat the Dodgers in the 2019 NLDS. Nats beat the Astros in the 2019 WS which I’m sure a ton of Dodgers fans were rooting for. Then in 2021, Nats sent two experienced players in Max and Trea for two young studs from the Dodgers in Keibert and Josiah marking the biggest trade from 2021. Lastly, Huddy, who every Nats fan will always remember for getting that final WS out, signs with the Dodgers in 2022.
With all that I think both organizations and fanbases have a soft spot for one another

Turner was good and shertzer was good until the playoffs then that whole dead arm bs came up i hope he has a horrible career from here on out. I hate to say that about any player but he rubbed me very wrong! So since were talking can we work something out for soto?

I'm kind of ashamed to say that I never really thought about pitchers as people...which sounds terrible. This was great, just seeing Daniel Hudson as a dad and a guy with worries, fears, hopes and goals. He seems like a really nice guy.

got to feel for hudson. great pitcher who went through terrible injuries but suffered another terrible injury yesterday. may he rest up and come stronger than ever.

When the Nats handed the Dodgers their greatest defeat that I had ever witnessed, I immediately began to root for them. They’ve had so many heartbreaking years in October and to see them finally win it all after the infamous 19-31 start of the season, it was difficult to root against them. Hudsons story validates this even more

Trea didn’t spent 15 years of his career in an organization like Freddie did. Especially when your manager lies to your about a contract to a team you have been with for so long. Freddie was with the braves through there ups and downs so going back to Atlanta must have been really emotional. Also Freddie was the face of Atlanta for many years and Trea wasn’t the face of Washington.

I think if trea stays on this dodger team and has another 5-7 healthy years he’s a HOF. He’s hitting like above 330. As a dodger since last year. I think it’s because his talent and the lineup around him. The team hasn’t really had it together all year but still enough for trea to constantly come up with runners on because Mookie and freeman in front of him and drive them in
Why are dodger fans acting like trea isn’t coming back.. Bauer’s money is off after this year and so is price, JT and a few other guys being paid more than they’re worth or not even needed anymore. They’ll be able to pay him even with the other contracts… the question is will they want to. I think it truly will come down to what the dodgers finish the year as .. and if trea chokes again. He has a habit of choking in pressure moment.. the playoffs are all pressure he did it last year in LA and he’d done it in WAS. If LA wins another ring and he’s contributes they paying him .. also Seager doesn’t set the market. That was one bad desperate team trying to be relevant and overpaying
