One wing kong will not be a mere memory, he will expand farther than just a mere myth, he will be a legend feared by all who encounter him.
Honestly, this one's my favorite purely for having custom vocals instead of just splicing the DK Rap vocals into the song like most One-Winged Kong mixes, and the DK themes interspersed, making it all feel like Square Enix themselves composed this.
This particular version (JacoPierce Music) is actually based on a mix (from saltycabbage) that spliced DK rap lyrics.
Back in college I took an elective class on Magic & Ritual. Basically looking at different cultures and belief systems. The first day of class, the teacher says the final will be to work in a team to create our own religion. Immediately I said "WHO WILL JOIN MY KULT OF KONG?". We pretty much nailed it at the end but goddamn I wish someone had made this iteration of One Winged Kong at the time (or any version) because that would have made it even more authentic/hella funny.

@@KusaneHexaku Lol. Yeah, our Kult was great. Each of us took on the role of a Kong, I of course pulled out a costume beard from my brother's closet and became Cranky Kong. My group members did a tribal dance to the DKC theme, while another group member and I sat down and played the GameCube DK Bongos to the beat. There was a barrel (painted soda can) tossing competition and the two winners had to take on the Golden Banana Level challenge from DKCReturns. This was how we determined who would become the next Donkey Kong.

We created a DK hell of sorts where non believers and worshipers of "false kongs" would go and fight these false kongs for eternity. The false kongs were the bosses of DK Jungle Beat like Sumo Kong, Karate Kong, etc. because they were made by Nintendo EAD, not Rare.
Fun fact: I went to Game On Expo a couple months ago. They usually have some celebrity guests come and do autographs and stuff. While there, I discovered a particular guest had come. So I took the opportunity and got to show my old project documents to Mr. I-Wrote-The-DK-Rap himself: Grant Kirkhope. Mostly the prayer parts inspired by the DK Rap, thought he'd get a kick out of it. :D
Somebody real saw all those One-Winged Angel x DK Rap songs and thought: “Okay, but what if we played it straight.”
