Not *that* rare. Plenty of examples out there but yeah, most songs don't really play with their structure as often as this one does.
happens with highly syncopated and written out songs... especially when they're like a thousand figures u have to hit... still struggle with it, and have been for a while now

Yeah it was arranged so good. It's on my loop for almost a week. Even the 8bit drummer himself was impressed by the song and admitted he had hard time.
There are parts that are rare to encounter, as Jerod said. This song is unique indeed.

The fact that Suisei can demand this composition speaks volumes about her artistry. I'm no musician but the quality in production with Suisei's direction is just beautiful. I really admire her for producing these masterpieces.
I'm not sure about the inner workings of Hololive, but they're an idol company and _they know_ Suisei is one of their best offerings.
She collab'd with Atsuhito Sato who did the orchestration and production. But she wrote the song and lyrics. It's such a great combo

I'd say this was one of the easier ones to predict, just from how high and offset the note was- it wouldn't make sense to have the song try to continue off of that- still a great sightread (?) taking into account what he soldiered through for the first 4 minutes

Jarod never fails to impress me as a drummer. On the spot improvisation and figuring a song such as GHOST is way past my creativity. And I knew if he'd ever cover it, he'd react EXACTLY as I thought

From one drummer to another, the only advice I can give is start practicing. Practise your rudiments, practise with a metronome and practise other stuffs like quituplets, displacement notes, polyrhythms and such. Listen to the great drummers like Gavin Harrison, Danny Carey, Dave Weckl, Vinnie Colaiuta, Steve Gadd, Jojo Mayer, Joe Morello, Benny Greb, Tony Williams and practise and learn from them
This song is easy to improvise on since it's just a basic 4/4 song and you will feel the same too
Yeah the fact that he manage to guess the timing for 4:41-4:46 is really awesome

I enjoy seeing this guy be challenged. It's very understandable considering the song but that makes it so fun to watch and listen to his cover.
Especially considering how flawlessly he can do just about any song on the first listen. You can tell he was having trouble on some parts, but seeing him get it and analyze what threw him off was really enlightening to just how impressive of a drummer he is and how good ghost is.
Seeing him get blindsided by the way the song progresses, but also so immersed as he gets drawn into the swell of it is so good.
Even with the hiccups the amount he can improv on a first listen is seriously so impressive every time - down to the smallest details like at 2:46

すいちゃん大好きでこの曲聞きまくってたから2:00で「そうじゃない！」ってなったけど、2:06ですぐに戻して「これや！」ってめっちゃ興奮したし、4:47ここ完璧すぎてむちゃくちゃ楽しくなった！

サビのドラムで「あー、、やっぱりスタンダードになっちゃうか」って思ってたんだけど、ものの数秒で理解してアレンジ変えたアニキすごすぎるわ。2番サビでも惰性で進めないでしっかりかみ砕いてるし。ほんとに『曲を支える』という表現が素晴らしい。
Ghostのドラムは結構特徴的で先が読みにくいけどここまで対応できるのがすごすぎる

I watched this in his VOD, and I really have to say, it sounds so good, especially with the fact it was his first time listening. Really hope he tries it again in the future. Incredibly beautiful song, and incredible drumming. Also its pretty sick he decided to cover it today, since the MV is about to hit 1 million!

This song is crazy. The variations of the drum pattern is insane, so much going on, yet so easy to listen and enjoy.
I knew it was going to be a bit confusing and hard for him. The drum pattern sequences were unpredictable and beautiful at the same time.
I was scared he was not going to cover this masterpiece. So glad he did!

Sometimes a song is so good it breaks the language barrier.
The whole song is very well written, so I'm no surprised he was a little caught off guard by the drums. But he's a hell of a player, so he caught on quickly enough.
Ok, 4:43 was amazing it genuinely sounded like it was in the original song
Ironic, because that was Jerod guessing wrong. Twice in a row he hits cymbals expecting the beat to drop, and it doesn't. He adapts well to it, though.

I'd say Suisei and Towa share the pedestal! Both their voices are so incredibly powerful it's hard to put one over the other.
Id say suisei and risu is the bestamong them in my opinion
I think that Suisei can provide insane power to like, any song. But overall I think Kanata is better.
