  • Browns eighteen or larger caught out of the Wolf River 2023. At least the ones I had the video camera on for.

My mother and father used to fish those stretches north of landglade back in the seventies. They would fish midnight to 4 am with giant white millers. 20+" browns were common. I prefer streamers. I've become addicted to lake Superior tribes chasing steelhead, Coho, and pinks

Great video! And good sound quality. Do you have an external microphone USB'd on the action cam?

No external microphone. Just the 2015 ION Air Pro microphone.

@@timwaters7253 picked up the Akaso EK7000 action cam. It's got a built in microphone, but worried about the sound quality so bought the external mic for it also. I am trying to go high tech this fishing season. And if you see a drone flying over your head this year don't be alarmed. Lol

Good luck. My son and I have been using his drove for checking the tributaries for beaver activity. Saves much time!@@jimt9095

Nice video and not too long till your back out again.
Was curious as to what’s the biggest brown you have caught on the Wolf?
    Thx.

21 inches twice. Once on the Cougar Tease streamer, and once on a "10 Caps Hair-wing.

@@timwaters7253 Thx an very nice fish too.
I’m surprised how most of the fish you catch are all between 18”-20” and not much fluctuation from that size.
So do these browns all go up bleeder streams once the water warms on the wolf and do you fish these streams then?
It would be really cool to catch one of those fish that you catch on the Wolf and catch him again on one of the bleeders.
      Maybe you already have.

@@bradgeffers1080 This video only has browns of 18 inches and bigger from last year. I don't fish the tributaries much, but we spend most of the summer working them.

The driftless gets most of the brood stock trout from the DNR.

Is there any way to email you? I have a goal set for the wolf but I need some information on some parts of the river. Great video too. Can’t wait till you get back out.
