SO. I decided to take Edgar Allen Poe's beautiful poem, 'Annabel Lee', and give it some music! (A 10-point lit project gone overboard, I must admit...) Vocals and violin were done by my sister (gils102), and I did the piano and guitar.
ALSO, below are the chords and lyrics, since someone asked. Want to make a cover? Please go right ahead! Just make sure to credit both me AND my sister (gils102) for our arrangement! (And, of course, don't forget dear Mr. Poe ^_^)

I believe Edgar Allen Poe himself would be proud of such a beautiful adaptation in song of his beautiful Annabel Lee.
I always thought the setting of this poem would make an awesome dark fantasy/gothic fiction novel. Tragedy, hideous demons, demented kingdoms, dark oceans, as a writer I'm tempted to make a story like that lol.

+Monica Gil i see but i think Britain English is more elevated and more classy. The British pronunciation is kinder than Us version. But in the end Poe is a American poet and he is ornament of the American literature. You should be proud of having him.
+Monica Gil whoever sings in the video she has a strong musical talent. she should utilize it well. For example finishing music department in a conservatoire.
Not just the best musical version, but one that gets everything right: beautifully sung and interpreted, period correct in the choice of instruments, and an obsessive melody and tempo that best fits the lyric. A memorable result and achievement. As suggested elsewhere, this is the version that would have greatly pleased it's author.

I love it! My life-long nickname is Annabelle, and I recently married a man named Lee. I'm not changing my name legally, but I am going by Annabelle Lee now socially, and for work.
Just throwing it out there, this is one of those songs that wonders in my brain every couple of years. Legitimately, every 3 years my brain is like "Hey, remember that song? Go listen to it for a week or so" hahaha. Thanks for this project.

I absolutely LOVE this arrangement of Annabel Lee!! I had to memorize this for a school project too and I was humming the words with a made-up tune in class one day when my teacher suddenly whipped out this video. Wow! I remember that I discovered this beautiful song in 2013, when I discovered Poe's works. That video had something like 5,000 or 20,000 views and now, almost 10 years later, it has 408,000! It's a good feeling of nostalgia. Congratulations to the sisters.

I could never express my admiration for your work. Not only is your/ your sister's voice softly sweepig me off my feet, placing me on the whitest of all clouds, but it furthermore manages to grasp the meaning of one of my favourite poems in a way I could have never imagined.
