Our journey today begins in Paris Charles-de-Gaulle's Terminal 2E Satellite Pier S2 where we board our ride today, brand new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner F-HRBA. We soon push back and head to runway 08L. We make a beautiful departure to the west, heading towards Reims before turning southeast, climbing to our initial cruising altitude of 37,000ft. We fly towards Switzerland, flying overhead Basel and Zurich before crossing the Alps and overhead Venice, Italy.
From there it's down Croatia's Adriatic coast as the sun sets in the west, we then cross Albania and Greece flying overhead Athens before crossing the Mediterranean. We pass to the east of the island of Crete and eventually cross the Egyptian coastline east of Alexandria. We descend in the darkness, making a left turn over Cairo and and approach from the southwest, touching down smoothly on runway 06C, and taxying into the terminal.

How does the 787 do vs the 777? I love flying on the 777, if I had a aircraft of choice, that would be it. I'm not a Scarebus guy...ill adjust airlines to stay with Boeing.

As always, you've accomplished another fine video documenting jet travel from start to finish! I hesitate to say it, but I think all would be even more impressive without direct sunlight invading the lens...a window shade down halfway would really be nice! Thanks Branden! This week is a BA B777 from London to Madrid, then I'll probably release the Iberia A340-600 next week. BHX-GLA will be the week after :) And I'm hoping to get on Turkish soon but with these new crazy elecctronics rules it makes it more difficult :(
Hi!! great video! Just a question, could you see if the people sitting behind you could recline their seats? Do you remember them being reclined when you went to the bathroom for instance? I know boeing 777 for Emirates or Qatar can, but I don't know if 787-9 can too. Thanks!

From a comfort point of view how does the 787-9 compare to the Airbus A340-600?
Less than 3hrs of actual flight time for this journey (a distance of 3.213 km according to gcmap) is actually a world speed record, so i wonder if you have cut some part of the flight, since it was during the night.

They are for the A380 yes, you board through the upper one when you are sitting on the upper deck :)

Hey Will, it depends on the flight. Long haul is usually easy - USB power in most long haul planes these days. Otherwise I have a USB battery pack that keeps the camera going for a couple of days, running out of storage space is usually more of a problem :)
