Bought a mi band 3 on release while I was in Hong Kong and I still use it today! Strap eventually breaks but the device is incredible value for the money

So I've just received my mi band 7 and so far I'm loving it! I want to know what workout option should I select if I'm doing weighted cable crunches at the gym as I'm not sure if it would fall under core training, strength, indoor fitness or freestyle? I would appreciate the help thanks!
Mi bands are underrated tbh the pricing is amazing and the older models are still bomb and simplistic

My Band 7 I believe to have a couple of bugs but not sure if it's just mine maybe defective. Would love to hear people's thoughts. It's basically I don't find the music controls responsive. The volume down is fine, but the volume up and skip tracks just don't work well at all, barely work. Yet they appear to work better when no music is playing, so assume it's maybe a software issue? My Band 6 was flawless on the controls front.
Can I store a NFC tag into the phone and then use the Mi 7 Band to open a door with the NFC code? If yes, how is this done?

Do I need wifi when using the device?
I want it to vibrate at intervals and cycle between slow paced and fast paced. For example 2 minute of slow, 1 minute of high intensity running. Can it do this?

Not sure if you already brought one but I have both and prefer the mi band for the screen size and daily usage. I'm not a big fitness person so my main use is notifications and time along side sleep monitoring

Is it waterproof? I had Mi Band 5 for almost a year and used it in shower and swimming pool all the time, but yesterday the screen stopped working after pool. So I wonder if mi band 7 is worth it...
used the mi band 2 for years, absolutely loved it and the 1 month battery life was incredible. eventually, the screen became too dim to read so upgraded to a mi band 6, and the terrible battery and oversized shape really was a difficult adjutment. so why are they making it even bigger on the 7?
as the 7 pro shows, this thing is becoming another amazfit bip. i ended up just buying a bip, it's less comically sized and shaped. they really shouldve stuck with the long battery life and small size.
well there are ways to increase battery life on the 7 like the battery saver mode which i personally wouldnt use bc of the reduced features but if you're looking for more battery thats for u
I personally think that band 7 is incredible for the money and options, i am using mi6 now and the battery works just over 2 weeks
I just bought one of these for swimming. Doesn't seem to be very responsive when the screen and my finger are wet (a bit of a problem for swimming) and when I've finished my swimming, I have to swipe the screen FOUR times to pause the timer. It took me 12 seconds the other day. What's the point of a timer if it adds 12 seconds on to your time?
I don't understand why it's like this.
Oh, and it misses lengths. I clearly can't have swam an odd number of lengths if I've finished at the same end of the pool as I started.

Yes it counts steps, can't be charged wirelessly, but the charging cable is magnetic. The official app is free, though there can be "premium" watch-faces that might cost money

Pop the watch out and replace the other way up.
I had the three but stopped using it bc the Mi app was super intrusive with ads and sketchy as far as data n permissions. Has it gotten better since then or worse? Any input would help :)

Yes and it will sync once it is connected to your phone.
Must press button to see your heart rate displayed for a single moment in time. Not real time display, at least on the watch face. Not sure about the app, because I didn't care about that - not going to run while holding a phone in my hand. Returning it because of this.

I loved this out of the box, but still ended up sending it back because the distance tracking is so poor without a smart phone/4G - consistently 15-20% off. If you need to take your phone with you anyway this thing is entirely redundant.

It really depends on what features you prioritise. If the exclusive features of the Pro don't interest you then get the normal Band 7. Also how is your eyesight? Will you need a bigger screen?

In band 7, I don't know why they removed the Status item with a clear look of the steps from each day, I don't understand where this idea came from. The appearance of PAI also strange, in me band 6 it was better shown for every day. To me, these changes are idiotic.

No it doesn't. That's more a smartwatch function. You can reject a call and answer with a customized reply

You have to dive into the settings of the watch. It's possible to disable that function

Found this to be useless for my purposes. This watch does not measure heart rate continuously in real time, but *only once,* each time you press the button (after navigating to the right screen). Unbelievable.

Bought this BUT it cannot be used in any mode if one does not opt in to sharing one’s location at all times along with all of the measurable vital signs which are shared with someone in China. Strange to me that people are so casual about sharing personal info. Data with a country that has a social metric system in place. Sending mine back to the retailer.
