These comics: portray them as mega simps
that just made me think of the ending in shake dimension. wario rescues the damsel in distress and she embraces him. he holds his hands around her... then tosses her aside because she was standing between him and a bag of gold
also, considering chrom knows lucina, he is likely already married, and yet is still portrayed as a simp here
Wario once went on a long and dangerous quest to give Peach a birthday present. He's definitely a simp at times.

I know you probably aren't looking for any actual reasoning, but I think the joke there is the Xray shows the rigging bones, used to make the character model move. the in-game hair has bones in it, so the game knows to move the hair dynamically! just thought it was a neat reference to how the models actually operate, and that you might appreciate the joke even further than you already did (a year ago)

In case you want to know why he now has a sword slammed into him. Shortly after coming to the mansion, he decided to send alot of people an envelope with a certain logo stamped on it. Those include Walulgi(sp), Sora, Master Chief, and as you saw Rex. The flashback shows what was really in them.
