Amsterdam is the capital of the Netherlands but not the seat of government, which is The Hague. The royal family, for example, is only occasionally in residence at the Royal Palace (see highlight timestap), on the square known as the Dam, in Amsterdam. Amsterdam’s intimate character is best reflected in the narrow, bustling streets of the old town, where much of the population still goes about its business. While there are reminders of the glorious past-gabled houses, noble brick facades clad with sandstone, richly decorated cornices, towers and churches.The inner city is divided by its network of canals into some 90 "islands" as seen in this walking tour!

LOl, you don't have to tell us to plant more trees, Amsterdam's design is done specifically to balance green and the scenery of the houses..
And this is downtown in the middle of Amsterdam.
There are municipalities outside Amsterdam that has more green and more Modern and old houses surrounded by trees and gardens and lakes and whatnot.
And since The Netherlands wants to be the lead in sustainability we have to pay twice the taxes to makes end goals realistic..
Believe me, regarding green spaces we know what we're doing, a lot of nations can learn from us..

Good video. I like the way its seems I am just walking with you seeing the sights. I was in Amsterdam for 2 whole days in 2016 with my daughter. We mainly went there to see the Anne Franke house. We really saw a lot including a canal cruise and a visit to their zoo where I enjoyed seeing the Dutch families. From St. Louis

Most 'street names' are in the timestaps. However, in Amsterdam these streets have canal / waterways names. Such as Dam (The Dam) and Herengracht (GentlemenCanal).

i wanted to know, since you shoot in gopro h6 and video is in 4k , i am seeing this video does not have that curvy fish eye effect(which normally happens in 4k), could you kindly let me know how were you able to achieve this ?as this video being 4k is not having curvy bent edges.

Try creating more space between you and the people walking in front of you, would definitely make the video much more enjoyable to watch. I've only watched for about 6 minutes but it seems like you're walking unnecessarily close to the people in front of you which then results in us seeing a lot of the people in front of you and only little of the buildings

Downtown is not a definition restricted to American (cities), although it is a definition commonly used in the American language. The definition 'Downtown' refers to the central part or main business and commercial area of a town or city.
This is uptown Amsterdam not downtown.

Natiq Osmanli the Biljmer is downtown Amsterdam where you’re scared to go out of your own house. People are mugged, stabbed and shot there. I lived there a year in the 90s. It was scary. Back in the 90s even the police didn’t patrol it as too dangerous, taxis would rarely come to pick up people and food deliveries out there were unheard of. Think it’s improved now but it used to be a no go area. This is uptown Amsterdam
