You're lucky to have a mechanical engineer father imo. You do some fun great work same as me. I don't have anyone around that shares my interests or understands them. Your setup here is awesome. Nice work. I just started a V mount on my 08 Outback.

Hi! I would have a question. I have an s13 with a CA18. I've bought a(probably a chinese aftermarket) same RX7 style oil cooler which I'm planning to mount under the top core support therefore it can get some "clear" arflow through my pignose bumper and route the lines to my mocal thermostatic sandwich plate which obviously sits lower than the oil cooler itself. In your opinion would this cause any drainback issues or is it safe to run besides a little extra strain on the oil pump to get the oil up there. As far as I know I wouldn't run into any issues nor drainback but I like to dig around and read other ppls experiences. Cheers for your input in advance!

      Hey @Menya_
It shouldn't cause any issues! As soon as the engine starts the oil pump will be sucking a constant supply of oil so it will just push any air outta the way to the end of the oiling system. I'd probably just crank the engine over with your fuel pump relay unplugged to build oil pressure for your first startup after you've installed everything. The oil pumps in these engines are tough little buggers from my experience haha. Good luck with the build! Cheers
