Watch as his IG account blows in followers because of fake people, and people claiming this and that with John. Only trying to keep it real. As a paramedic who deals with a ton of cardiac related patients, I can tell you that your self- awareness, and trusting your instincts that something wasn’t right played a big part in this dire situation ending with a positive outcome. I encourage anyone that experiences something like this to never hesitate calling 911 or asking for help. Early STEMI recognition, stabilization, and Cath Lab activation by first responders followed by getting you to definitive care (the hospital) in a timely fashion is so crucial. Like John said, this is no time to be a “tough guy”, and we all know John is about as tough as they come. With that being said, I’m very happy & thankful to see you back on your feet, feeling better and home with your family, John 🙏🏼

Wise response. You can always decline if false alarm. But once you're dead u cant come back. Consider baby aspirin, consult your MD. If your hemoglobin runs high normal, your blood is too thick, donate regularly. High hemoglobin increases risk of a heart attack. Yearly cardiac stress test...is wise if risk factors exist. Otherwise I think high omega 3 diet, anti inflammatory whole foods diet, daily exercise, good sleep, low stress life, meditation and prayer etc...are great things to consider to decrease your MI risk.

When ones life is in danger one tends to realize what actually matters in life. My father had some serious heart problems, and his perspective changed a lot after it happened, and you could easily tell. Sadly, though, as time passed he sort of forgot, and went back to his old unhealthy habits. I try to constantly remind myself of this stuff.

John so happy your ok. I’m 74 years old and April 2019 I was in the gym working out and had a great work out in fact I did 475 pound dead lifts fo 8 reps. Just as I finished my workout my daughter who is a nurse came in for me to train her as she was getting ready for an Ironman and she said daddy you look like you are about to die your solid gray . At that time I had no pains of any kind but within minutes I started sweating like buckets of water . Against her request I finished her training and then I went home . My wife insisted we go to the hospital but I said let’s wait and make sure what’s going on not very smart on my behalf. I finally decided around 2:00 o’clock am the.next morning to go to the hospital. Well I had heart surgery with a 4 way bypass. After 2 months my heart surgeon told me my chest was 100 % healed and I could go back to lifting just take it slow . That wasn’t so hard to for the fear of tearing things apart . But now its a year later I’m 75 and back working out 3 days on 1 day off . I started working out when I was 12 years old with concrete cans on a galvanized pipe my daddy help me make . I’m a retired accountant and owned my own practice for 35 years and my older son took over my practice 3 years now . So now I’m enjoying my passion more than words can tell . Sorry for the long reply but I have been a fan of yours since you started on CZcams. God bless you and your family.
