Nice commentary thru the entire video. Now if I only had the lift to put the bike on...

Bought my kits last year and just installing the first on a 346 . Noticed that the instructions , the video and the kit don't quite match up . Also noticed the starter is mounted higher in my kit causing issues with the kicker.

George, when I mocked install on my 47 mainshaft the kicker gear didn't hit the pinion gear. Idea why? Thanks..

Hi Jordan, I've fitted 6 of the kits and every bike is different. One had a similar problem with the kicker gear. To fix drift the kicker shaft out till you have engagement and relock.

who in their normal mind would take an angle grinder to the main shaft ,And if you must cover everything up ! . Better choice would be to remove the main shaft and surface grind the area ( a big job)

The end of the main shaft transmits no power and is there solely for the kick starter. The kit includes instructions for milling the shaft for those who do not wish to use the method described in the video.
