W123 Mercedes Throttle Pivot Mount Replacement

I noticed my 300TD had become slow and the throttle felt unresponsive. What I found was the throttle pivot bushing had disintegrated and was causing slop in the throttle preventing full throttle. Let’s replace it with a good used one. If you have trouble finding a new one there are various forums with instructions on rebuilding it.

There is a rebuild kit sold on eBay but I have no experience with it. If I didn’t have a good used one I probably would have ordered it.

I just welded up the metal parts and did away with the rubber

Part of owning vintage cars, is owning a parts car or spare parts in bins. Many folks don't want either, and want free parts from those who do.

PN is 123 300 13 40 for the '81-'85 diesels.

This part is so crazy priced. My bushing is getting sloppy on my 1981 240d but to try and find one of these is getting impossible to find.

Thanks for posting this video, the bushing on my 1991 W126 just broke in half and I don't see any availability online.. Can someone Please share a link of where I can find one or how to rebuild it? Thanks
