I would absolutely love to see the PBA return to this format for championship matches. It would really show the viewing audience how the Pro's have to adjust to lane transition and when they make equipment changes to combat it. Also at 25:30 I am never surprised when pros (or any good bowler for that matter) miss a single pin after coming off that many strikes. It's very easy to do because you've burned that "strike shot" into your muscle memory. So you may give it too much hand or come too far inside/outside with your arm due to it.
I watched him in a video miss a single pin in the 10th frame that cost him the game and championship against Norm Duke. I don't remember what year that was.
i have an idea. your lead should be cut in half for the third game. to put the most weight on the third game, and to keep it close. so in a "total pinfall" finals match, if your down 40 thru the first 2, you only need to overcome 20 pins in match 3. better for tv competition too. so even if its tight like youre up 4 pins thru the first 2, you only lose 2 pins. but if the deficit is big, it would make the match better for the viewer.
I disagree. There's no reason why a bowler who is doing exceptionally well in the first 2 games should be punished for his talent of doing well by having the points that he earned be taken away from him.
That is dumb. People have off games all the time. And out of this world games as well. Why punish a bowler that is in the moment. You need to stick to your handicap bowling. Lol
I'am so glad I was there, got to talk with Walter ray and Chris Barnes one of the best headlights of my life.
Thanks a lot!
Thanks for uploading these! Would have been nice to edit out the commercials though.
barnes was unbeatable the way he ended up playing the 2 lanes

@@lynettepalecek3141 you sure your not talking about Mika missing that ten pin that cost him the us open against duke?
@@Jesusfanatic0711 WRW, Jr also did it.
I'd forgotten this match. (Gettin' old...) Either way, 3rd game... Rob Stone: "We'll bring you game 3 commercial free." CZcams: "Um... no."
1:07:12 Rob: Came in like it was running from the cops.
Me: You mean like Madea?
Walter really wanted that 300 I feel your pain
I call Chris Mr. Pouty. He is still a great bowler.
Was sad to see how badly Walter slipped.
There are way too many ads in this video!

I suffer from Asperger's syndrome and I am intimate with women more often than Walter Williams misses single pin spares.
