@@HWHY We've always known that the roster was going to be small but unless you've got experience with MBAACC then you should wait until it comes out before saying the cast isn't diverse.
I think the website said “more to come” or something like that so im pretty sure there will be. There’s a lot of staple fan favorites missing. I assume Red Arcuied was just easy to put in but she shouldn’t have been revealed last lol
I'm fine with people disliking the character designs in Melty Blood, since what a person finds appealing visually is completely subjective, and is going to VARY from person to person. Personally, I only really get annoyed when people hate on the look of a character for a specific reason , when the stuff they do like the look of shares the SAME features visually. Examples of this include people not liking Melty Blood for having kids in school uniforms, and saying it's bland for a fighting game, but my issue with this is the fact that many of these SAME people HAD NO PROBLEM with the look of Persona 4 Arena, which is a fighting game where many of the characters had the EXACT same thing look, which were characters in school uniforms. Another example I'll give is people criticizing Melty Blood for not having variety in the character designs, with them complaining that there is too many maids, but these SAME people love characters like Ryu, Ken, Akuma, and Sean from Street Fighter. ALL of which have very similar character designs, which is a basic karate outfit. Th finale example I'll give is when when I read comments of Guilty Gear fans saying they hate BlazBlue for being too anime, which makes no sense to me because in my opinion BOTH "BlazBlue Central Fiction" and "Guilty Gear XRD REV" are similar in that regard. For instance, Both games have characters their wear clothes with unnecessary accessories, such as the belts on Sol and Ragna. Additionally, both games also have character stereotypes seen in many other anime , which again, look at Sol and Ragna to see what I mean, since both characters are delinquents with foul mouths that have red as their theme. Next is the fact that both games have convoluted story lines with retcons and plotholes. Finally, both games feature a hefty amount of fanservice, with MANY of the female cast being heavily sexualized. Examples include but are not limited to: Baiken, who has has an outfit that highlights her cleavage and has a walking animation where she puffs out her huge breasts proudly.Then there's I-no, who is a character with another provocative character design who has a win animation where she takes her top off. The last example I'll five on the GG side is Elphelt, who is a character who shows cleavage and has a win animation where she pulls out a document in between her huge breasts. In the case of BlazBlue, theirs Makoto stripper outfit, and whatever Mu-12 turns into during a match lol. Overall, any criticism in regards to BlazBlue being to anime can ALSO be applied to Guilty Gear IMO Again, it's fine to dislike something because as I said before that art IS subjective, and there ISN'T a wright or wrong when it comes to this. The lack of consistency is really what really bothers me. Just my two cents.
the only thing im not liking about this game is the roster like how they gonna have two identical looking red hair maids then the two of them together then the same generic blonde girl twice man. it just sucks cause the gameplay looks tight
Yeah, reusing assets is unfortunately a recurring thing in fighting games. I’m not SUPER bothered by it, but I definitely wish FG rosters were larger at launch & didn’t reuse the same character models
The Generic Blond Girl is wearing different outfits in both her version. It is an entirely new sprite. And of course they are gonna have the 2 maids because they were central characters in the visual novel the game is based on.
