  • In 2009, Global Health Corps (GHC) was founded to mobilize the next generation of health equity leaders. Through robust fellowship and alumni programs, GHC has recruited, trained, and built a diverse network of 1,200+ rising leaders collectively advancing health equity within 400+ organizations across the globe. Collectively, the GHC network of leaders is working to transform health systems to deliver quality care for all.
Every year, millions of people suffer and die from preventable and treatable illnesses and injuries. We know health systems are under-resourced and inequitable. So how do we change them?
We have the medicine. We have the technology. We need the leaders.
Systems don’t have agency, people do. The right kind of leaders - diverse, empathetic, adaptable, collaborative, and equity-driven - can transform systems to deliver quality healthcare accessible to all.
Leadership is the greatest lever for change in global health.
Yet that leadership must be intentionally cultivated. Too many young people - especially women, Africans, and non-clinical professionals - don’t have access to the growth opportunities and networks that can unlock their potential. They’re passionate about health equity, but they need an entry point to global health and support to rise and make an impact across their careers.
When connected with resources and provided with opportunities, there’s no limit to what the next generation of health equity leaders can achieve. That’s the future we’re building at GHC.
