    Great video as usual.
The electrical back up plan was great. The alternating phases in the panel also accommodate the times when you need to power up those 220-240 volt electrical stove, dryer and if you have welding equipment. If you only have 110 you won't be able to power those items. Your friend explain that so well.
Your video editing is always so enjoyable. The angles and editing take you into a story. The time of the videos are quick and precise. Just enjoyable! So enjoyable. Some people just over explain their story. Yours are just straight to the point and very clear. This video had so much info. I had to edit my comments a couple of times. Just great!
I saw a glimpse of your solution for your boiler venting. Out the side of the house on the backside and no where near windows. I was wondering how that turned out for you guys.
I love your saw. That 400 just whipped through logs like butter. I have never seen anyone use a Dremel to sharpen a chain and it's very quick. Faster than my method. Question how often do you flip your bar and how long in seconds do you let the Dremel sharpen a tooth on your chain. Just a great idea.
I was hoping you would show the log hauler taken on 2 logs. Thanks!
You have to love Doug - 2 days LOL! You guys are great.

For 30 years I used gas generators after 5 different hurricanes, 4 to 12 days without power, but I will never use them again. They performed nicely but not having to deal with fuel makes the $7000 worth it. Great show, thanks

Good video. Always a good plan to be prepared. The mods to the log winch look really good. It appears that having a second winch at the front to lift the logs in place would save hooking and unhooking the electric winch every log. It could be hand powered and dedicated to lifting the front of the log so that you could hook the chain.
Water is clearly standing around the bung on your 55 gallon drums. If there is water around the bung, the temperature changes will suck it into the drum and you will have water in your fuel. Easiest solution is to angle the drums so that the water can't stand around the bung. Best solution is to keep the drums where water, either from rain or condensation, can't get to the drum.
    Ask me how I know

6:49 I think you are halfway there, I saw a recent video on #ElectricProAcademy of a system made by Ecoflow which will allow you to plug directly into your generator inlet. Joel Explains it all, It uses a combiner to generate 240V. Keep in mind those two 120V generators need to be 180 degrees out of phase in order to convert 2 120V circuits into 240V IE: the two hot legs in your panel. Then again with the advent of these solar generators there are likely new "hybrid" backup solutions on the way, you probably could even find a sponsor. Personally I think you have the right idea sticking with your generator for now, after all how often do you lose power for two days. Combine what you have with a few UPS power supplies for your critical electronic internet/computers and you won't miss beat.

You can make things work with your existing inverter setup. Make an adapter plug that can bridge L1 and L2. That way you can power both sides of your panel.
You still won’t be able to power anything 240V, but you will have 120V to both sides of your panel. That way all of the 120V outlets/circuits in your house will work - not just 1/2 of them.
If you need 240V for anything, that’s probably a high load demand anyway and better served by swapping out to the generator.
Also do some research on bonded /non/bonded neutral. I’m not sure how your genny or inverter are set up, but you definitely want to get that right - or you’ll potentially have current carrier over your ground wires.
