Something I found afterwards is that if you want it to be able to use the parking monitoring you need to order an additional fuse box kit. I mention in the video it would need a battery to work, but sounds like it does not have that and will need to be wired to the battery of your truck. Additional wiring required.
First of all I would like to say thank you for covering the details. You covered every detail of that install. This is probably one of the best install videos I've ever seen. You took the time to record and explain every angle of it and I'm impressed. Thank you for taking the time to make a great video. I'm going to buy one for my RAM truck.

Thanks for this video! I just installed the front and rear camera today. I’ve never done anything like this before, but it was so easy! I had trouble getting that center piece off the original housing. Your video provided such a great view of that part, it helped me figure out how to pop that off.

The only benefit I ever got out of my old dash cam that had GPS is it enabled you to have access to speed data. Hugely beneficial to be able to prove to insurance companies, or possibly the court, what speed you were going when an incident took place.
All that said, I'll take a clean plug and play install over GPS any old day of the week.

Good morning. Short question. If you press the recording button on the housing, the emergency recordings are saved in the length you set in the app (3min, 5min etc.) is my question. Is the time of pressing always the end of the video? Or is it the middle of the video (from 5min setting, 2.30min before pressing and 2.30min after)

Mostly a mistake on my side. Didn't know if I'd like the camera so kept the costs down. Thought I could just buy the add-on later, but looks like you may not be able to do that.

Personally, I don't even notice it's there. Only issue I had was that I needed to change the location of my EZ-Pass.

I really like the look of this unit, but want GPS and speed info on the video. Anyone know of an integrated unit with GPS?

Were you able to see the license plate with the rearview camera at night and day?
I did not get the rear view, only the forward facing. Also looks like I can’t just add the rear view, but rather would have to buy a whole unit with rear view to add it.
Does this work for 2023 rams with the sensors in the front of the mirror? Mine doesn't have all that plastic around it
There are two models on fitcamx’s website. You may need the other model.
Could you use other sd cards? I want to add a 256gb card

I do not believe it has speed, which could be good or bad depending on your needs.
Does it allow you to zoom into the video if you wanted to focus on a specific part like a license plate?
When you replay video you can zoom in.
