Tiny and clean to mean, the Lucas Miles LM Vintage '65 Vibro Champ might be your perfect practice or recording amp. It's been meticulously researched and tweaked by Dean Horler and is just a blast to play through. From the website: "We had a lot of fun building these. The initial run of 4 allowed us to experiment with the different tone and coupling caps as well as different voltages t'out the amp all in a effort to find that sweet spot. There's a lot of conjecture on the net about the fixed biased settings on these amps which runs the o/p tube fairly hot. Its all misleading and best left as is, because it sounds best the way it is. Why compromise the sound? What we have achieved is an absolute delight. The amp runs the o/p tube in "class a" which delivers unadulterated organic tone, and when she's pushed the breakup is rich and harmonically sweet. The choice of speaker was a no brainer. The Jensen P8R like its alnico peers delivers a wonderful evenly balanced sound. Theres no woolly bass or bright tops. This is a magic little amp and we're very happy with what we've achieved.."

Happy to say I’m lucky enough to own one of the first four of these models that Dean built. Absolutely love it.

Lucas used to fix my old amps till his own brand took off, he's great, this sounds like a classic sound along the lines of Badfinger.
We are lucky to have him Ulbrick and Sherlock all in Melbourne.
Like to see his take on the Bandmaster reviewed Brett.
    But this Model Sounds fantastic.

Best sound I've every heard for an 8" speaker. Despite their historic reputation, I find most small Champ style amps sound boxy.

I’ll be honest, in the mix with a bunch of instruments it’s hard to tell a modeler vs a tube amp... but played alone or in a room the tube amp sounds so good.

I wonder how a Champ would sound with a 12 incher?

Sounds great through bigger speakers. I play mine through a 1955 jensen p12r and it’s absolutely stunning.

Alright, now you are looking too happy so it must be a freakingly good amp!! That little Jensen is perfect. Got a P10r in a Princeton reverb and they sound even better after 3/4 months of hacking a Guitar through them every day. Leave yer profilers at home and just use that with an sm57 to the PA. No pedals can make a sound that even begins to emulate that set-up..ah yes and you do play rather well, like that Single coil Attack.
