    Thank you Thank you!! out of all the weather stripping videos out there, you are the FIRST to give a perfect view of where to place the seal on the door! The other video's go so fast or are not in focus of where to place it!!

    In addition to D Seals, I also used silicone draft seals (normally advertised for sticking at the bottom of the door, but i put it all around the door, on both sides - although I found that the ones on the floor kept coming off) - every little helps!

    2 very informative videos. I was surprised at how much this tape helped. You need a link to this video from the first video. I had to hunt for this one. Big thumbs up on both videos.

    You need to put another double glaze window in that small room where the aircon is. Ideally aircon needs to be on the outside if that was possible.
    Balcony needs to be glassed in also.
    That's what would make the biggest difference.
    A large air gap between the balcony rail and your double glazed window. The two together would significantly cut the decibels.
    That's definitely going to add value to your flat.

    Mind to guide how to install the tape on windows? I need to install some of those before anyone complains, my autistic son frequently scream at odd hours. Wanted to purchase from Shoppee but wonder how to install it. Tq in advance

    Hi again, is that door solid wood? Those louvers, can you fit double glazing? The aircon ideally, should be outside, not inside. That aircon noise would be eliminated if it was outside. Then you would just have the two pipes going through the wall and you could completely seal the laundry area which would drastically cut the noise from the train.

      Putting AC on outside of the building probably has other challenges dealing with building body corporate, and expensive abseiling crew.

      @@Robert-sq7bp Maybe it would be better to add shock absorbers under rail to try to cut some of the noise which must drive people nuts. Noise of all things is a terrible stress on humans.

    Interesting stuff than you. Do you think adding carpets (moquet) and soundproofing curtain would give a further help? Asking because I'll move to a house that has the train at 3 meter from my door!!

      @helmi_finance  Před 3 lety +2

      The best is to get the soundproofing windows done. Curtains and carpets can only do so much unfortunately

    is this also to prevent the noise from people opening the door and closing the door. to prevent the noise from slamming?

    • @helmi_finance
      @helmi_finance  Před rokem +1

      It generally will reduce noise overall. But you'll still hear all the noise, just less intrusive.

    Unfortunately, the back of the sealers is not adhesive and they peel off in a few days

    After add in 7k + 5, is the noise fix?

    • @helmi_finance
      @helmi_finance  Před rokem

      as mentioned in the video, it didnt eliminate the noise problem 100%, but it’s good enough
