Willamette River The Narrows 3 17 18

Angie and I had a lovely outing on a beautiful section of the Willamette River. The Narrows is just upstream from Willamette Park in West Linn, OR., and the put-in for this trip is about 45 minutes from our house.
We were bucking a headwind until we got into the sheleter of the islands. Then the water got glassy, but we were paddling against a stronger current. There are a lot of tiny whirlpools, crosscurrents, and boils in this area which makes for some fun paddling.
