I find it very interesting that this video was recommend to me right after I was finishing my child hood film with a friend called Eight Bellow. Which mainly takes place in Antartica. After the film was over I see that Top5s uploads and the thumbnail is Antartica!!

I've been following this channel for quite a while now and as always, I enjoyed this video too. Although I have noticed a small inconsistency during the videos. Namely, the measurement units. In some videos you give both for example, Fahrenheit and Celsius or miles and kilometers. In other videos you go with one set or the other. As a constructive suggestion, could you say both in the videos? As I'm from Europe and have some problems wrapping my head around the units Americans use :D And I'm sure there are viewers from there who feel the same about our measurement units :D I think it would be easier and quicker for both sides to get what you're talking about without having to go and use some online site to change the units :) Otherwise, keep up the good work! This is one of my favorite channels on YT :)

Ice caps have been steadily shrinking overall, not growing. Not only does satellite photography prove it, the expected results align with observations: sea levels are rising and the only source of water large enough to cause that is ice cap melting.
@@SocratesAth In 2015 it was estimated (NASA) that the Antarctic snowfall added more volume that year then was lost into the ocean by the glaciers. Just one year data point and then the next was the usual opposite just like the years before. However, the western glaciers are continuing to accelerate like they have been for decades. It's essentially the good old "it still snows so climate change is a hoax" meme. Obviously Antarctica is going to continue to have tons of snow as it's prevalent precipitation for a long time to come. Warmer climate produces MORE precipitation so it may get even more record snowfall years. Same with Greenland.
