- Today we tour the amazing waterfront oasis town of Gabès in the south of Tunisia, an ancient trading post linking to the Sahara Desert. Our walking tour takes in old colonial architecture, the beach, a great hotel, the oasis of Chenini as well as heading out of town to El Hamma to visit the hammam and an ancient Jewish pilgrimage site.

i am originally from gabes, glad you showed the oasis.
It's a beautiful part of the country. Definitely worthy of UNESCO World Heritage Status. Let's hope they get it soon!

The Tunisian should restore the Church ✝️ And the Synagogue ✡️ in Gabes..
Not 100% sure but i think the European works in an oil field on the coast of Gabes rather then the South ( Sahara Desert )

The lettuce was a nice surprise!
The lettuce (gift you received) it's a typical product of the region.. They keep their authentic paesan seeds and they gave you a precious symbol of their struggle against the seeds industry!!
