Congrats, you and Ben got awesome times! Jack Rowe's time was INSANE :O - haha that face you made when taking that gel made me laugh so much!
Jack is an insane athlete, bodes well for the road champs this weekend for him! Haha I’ll always be honest, the gel wasn’t to my liking haha!
Yessss nice work!! I've been waiting for this video! I just saw Ben's yesterday and I saw on someone's phone screen after the race that you came in just behind him! Top 10 that's AMAZING congrats again!
Thanks a lot mark! Yeah I just ran out of tarmac to catch him haha! Getting there 😆
Well done Cole, just wanted to say that what you said re caffeine resonated, I always thought I was immune to the bad effects of caffeine since I had taken it for years. I took caffeine free coffee for just a few days, and never have slept better, stopped getting up during the night for a pee, and wake up feeling refreshed.
I know caffeine is meant to be good for races but right now feel I dont want to take the chance, even if it is infrequently. One thing I didnt know was the long lasting effects of caffeine - 7 hours half life for instance, ie 7 hours after a cup, you still have half a cup in you.
Thank you! I’ve been saving this caffiene for race day and it’s definitely working! 😃
Congrats Cole 🙏🎉 I had a similarly awful experience with an SIS gel half way through the Nottingham Half on Sunday! 😷
Haha I hadn’t had one before so wasn’t sure what it was like. Nothing new on race day whooops 🤣
Well done. What a great run. Happy for you. Keep it up. Big congrats 9n PB
Thank you Jonathan! 😁
Congratulations man! You have been working hard to achieve your goals and that is very motivating, I always follow your videos here on YT and I follow you on Strava, I am learning about running. Greetings from Brazil!
Ah thanks so much man I really appreciate it! What time is it over there in Brazil?! 😄
@@ColeRunning , kkkk... It's 12:37 pm, a temperature of 30°C and to think that It is autumn i live in one of the hottest regions of Brasil! 👊🌞
Congratulations Cole absolutely smashed it and with no taper too! 🎉🎊🏅
11:02 Surely Ellis Cross is clipping that "Oo look at those Hokas!" for his notification tone.
Haha thank you mate!! I doubt he watches this haha but I will let him know 🤣 proper chuffed with how it went considering no taper 😆
Awww that is so great to see, massive congratulations!
Thanks a lot Jennifer 😃
I raced Sunday morning too and got 9th in the biggest race where I live in Pittsburgh! I’m nowhere near as fast as you are, but videos like yours inspire me so much and give me something to shoot for someday! Keep it up!!!!
9th is a solid position buddy! I ended up getting 10th as they’d missed someone off the results 🤣 keep crushing it matey!
Congratulations Cole, awesome PB and a top 10🔥👏👏
Thanks a lot Simon! 😆😆
Well done! Just checked Power of 10 and we already have changed you to Tonbridge. Get the Soar vest as standard as it were too I see. Might have to do some stats on whether track or road is faster. I think it partly depends on the level you are at as the faster you are the more likely to have a close competitive race on the track. Anyway technically your road is "faster" as is 30:58 versus 30:58.70 and road times should be rounded up so it ought to have actually been 30:57.xx.
Great to see you in the start pen - fan boy moment 😍 congrats on your PB bro ❤
Haha thanks Callum mate! You’re famous! 🤣😄
Amazing run. your smashing it time after time even though it gets tough.
Thanks so much mate, motivation comes from discipline! (Keep trying to tell myself that haha)
Great running Cole! Im not suprised you pb'd, your training has gone well recently. Looking forward to seeing you smash it at Manchester 👍
Thank you mate! Proper looking forward to it
Brilliant running and great video. Well done.
Thank you sir :)
Congrats on the PB Cole, amazing running mate!!
Thank you sir! Proper chuffed with it!
Fantastic running Cole, well done. Great signs for the Manchester half.
Thanks David! Putting the work in 😄😄
Congrats on a road PB (although wonder if gutting that you could have got a new overall one!) Cole is now all loved up after subtle hints in previous videos. Obviously we don't know all the reasons you changed club but you did seem to have good mates in Invicta so even if not part of it anymore then keeping friends is a good thing if you can. Good luck with the new group probably offering a different challenge!
Think you might be confused between Canterbury Endurance and Invicta mate :) I can still train with CE whenever I want as they’re a training group rather than a club infact DC the group leader is a Tonbridge athlete and has been for many years. I still have many friends at invicta and it’ll always be close to my heart having been there for 10 years! 😄
Huge stuff Cole been following your training on strava great to see that its paid off 👏 👏👏👏
Thanks Sam, hasn’t paid off just yet! Big goals lie ahead!!
@@ColeRunning I'm sure the future holds great times for u and can't wait to be here for it 😁
Superb Cole! And a really cool vlog too
Thank you very much 🙏🏻
Congratulations mate 👏 great running 🚀
Thanks keiron! 😁
Serious shifting, especially given the GNR effort. Kudos indeed!
Thank you Chris 😄😁
Cracking effort, welldone mate
Thank you mate, proper chuffed with it
Is this the official Lucy intro vid? 😂
She’s been in a couple vids matey :)
@@ColeRunning not in talking roles though! BTW, getting that close to Ben in the 10k is pretty impressive… you both are brilliant runners!
@@Alecmcq thanks Alec :)
First of all, congrats on that massive PB. Secondly, I sometimes feel the same as you regarding the races you don't taper for. There are sometimes races where you perform better even if you haven't taken it easy the previous days. Maybe it could be due to the fact that you put less pressure on yourself for those races.
Same happened to me this past season. I'm a triathlete and duathlete and my best duathlon was one that I intended to be as preparation or tune up race for my A goal of the season. I arrived to the race quite tired because I had really hard workouts the previous day but somehow I managed to put on the best duathlon of the season by far. Crazy how the body works...
Yeah it’s super weird right! Definitely the lack of stress and also the lack of worry about the result. I didn’t find myself getting anxious because I didn’t taper, life was normal yanno?!
Great run , Congrats!
Thanks Stephen, proper enjoyed the entire day out!
Nicely done Cole 👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you! 😁
Congrats on the PB Cole! I'm a local (slow) runner, and member of another AC, and everyone in the area would understand why a competitive runner would want to join Tonbridge, it is the most competitive club in our area. If you're ever in Paddock Wood, we have a track too, and am sure you'd be most welcome to join a session.
Ah thanks a lot mate, one of my friends runs with Paddock wood! 😁
Congrats on the new PB!
Thank you derek! 😃
Awesome time
Thanks Simon!
Great run Cole.
Thanks so much Ian 😄
Hard work always pays off in the end. Great time. I think next year Ben will have his work cut out.
Ben works super hard. He was ill on race day so it’ll come good for him soon!
Great run!
Thank you sir! 😄
Congrats Cole 💪👍 do you let your red bull go flat before you drink it pre race or just drink it bubbling away? Thinking I may try it!
I always go bubbling, gets my hyped hahaha. No preference all jokes aside :)
Congrats and good to read from your replies above that we'll still see some CE action in the future.
You sure will :)
Congrats 🥳
Thanks James!
@@ColeRunning no worries
Well done, Cole 🤩
Thank you sir, love the username haha
Well done of the PB Cole on a windy morning and on a course with a fair bit of undulation. What do you reckon is a good 10K event in London & the South East if you want a PB?
There’s a local course the Lydd 10k where I set my original PB and that’s a rapid course if the weather is alright. Aside from that I can’t think of many! Thinking of doing the Telford 10k later in the year!
looks like St James's Park at 4:42
Yeah could be 🤷🏻♂️ 🤣
wow hard work paid
fantastic
Thank you matey!
The SIS isotonic gels don't really taste like anything to me, but the Salted Strawberry Electrolyte gel tastes great in my opinion.
I don’t really use gels too often but I’ll give them a try when I get a chance!!
Well run mate, I would not touch those Red Bulls, pure poison.
Thanks for your opinion kind sir! 😁
Congrats man, I see you under 30 min in 1 year!
I would LOVE that 🤩
Marathon or even half marathon blocks always benefit the 10km abilities
Thanks leeroy 😄
are you gonna feature on inside tonbridge? that’ll be a crossover an a half.
Haha more like they’ll feature on here ;)
@@ColeRunning Can't wait
Cole: SIS gel, not sponsored
SIS: Hey, let's sponsor this fast lad
Cole: This SIS gel is disgusting
SIS: ....................
Congrats on the massive PB!!!!!! And TOP 10 baby!
Hahah I’ll always be honest 🤣 (I hope they don’t watch this hahaha)
Cole if I am 15 years old how far and how long should I be running a week and amazing run btw
Thanks buddy, I’d say speak to your coach. Without knowing more about you it wouldn’t be safe for me to suggest mileage etc :)
@@ColeRunning okay thankyou
Whos the guy starting infront of Jack Rowe on the start line wearing a Running chest strap starting his strava on his phone before buttoning it up :D
Mate dont even get me started, it’s a pet peeve of mine haha
No caffeine works so well. Well done mate.
It’s doing me wonders!!
@@ColeRunning pb with a lack of sleep that night...time for an evening race? I hate early races
Rapid time congrats cole ⚡️
Thank you matey :)
New club😮
Yes sir 😁
1:46 that’s Ben Felton 🤨
Think you’ve missed the joke mate haha
Well done and great performance. Need to work on your geography. London is in the centre of the uk 😂😂😂
Not reallyyyyyy in the centre but we’ll allow it ;) what are you referring to btw did I say it’s up north I can’t remember? 🤣
Nearly spat out my tea when I heard that! Half of the UK's problems illustrated in one sentence!
Does this mean DC won’t be half coaching you now??
I’ve been self coaching for a while now. DC is always on hand to offer advice if I need!
Looks a bit odd between you and Ben 🤔 you lads not mates anymore?
Yeah mate still really good mates, both just focused in on race day. Remember what you see on camera isn’t always what happens in real life 😃
Ffs well done but why have you left the goat NPC Noah Patterson
I was at the club well before him lad 😏
This video is more about what you eat, interviewing random runners ect than the actual race also how can you “struggle to empty the tank” in a race 😂 you aren’t out a Sunday jog lol run with faster runners then
Confuses me how some people can be so negative about a video they didn’t HAVE to watch 😂
