Bless her Heart, Literally. That's so sad. Many of us don't get to enjoy fancy vacations or lavish experiences. But nearly ALL of us has a favorite meal that we love to eat, especially in memory of someone special who made it for us. To not be able to eat, taste, sip... My Goodness. Sometimes, all we get is a Good Meal with a Good Friend to enjoy a moment with. The fact that she loves to cook is what is truly devastating. Nevertheless, she found a way to still live her best life and enjoy her passion with others. Bless her Soul.
Truth 😢
Right.. I eat for comfort sometimes I can only imagine not being able to eat or drink 😣

Plot twist: she poisoned all her food.
I feel for this woman. I have this same condition, aka, gastroparesis. Thankfully mine is not nearly as bad as hers. I'm still able to eat but very limited on what I can consume. It is a very painful and depressing disease. You never really realize how much our lives revolve around food until you aren't able to eat the things that you like. This time of year is really rough because of the holidays. My prayers go out to this woman and everyone else who is struggling with this disease.
I have the same disease. I feel for you and all that live with it ❤️
I'm curious, if you got a stomach transplant, would it help the issue or is it more of a nerve issue?

@@nihalnihal9356 it's very real
I have a friend with gastroparesis too. She endures a lot. I hope you’ve had enough spoons this holiday season. Sending love❤
My Grandmother has something similar to this - she’s in her 70s and hadn’t eaten for about 25 years. She still always baked cakes and made Sunday dinners for our whole family every week even though she could never eat it. She finally got a procedure last year and was in the hospital for months but now she can finally eat with the help of a tube. I’m so happy she’s finally able to eat now and I can tell how much being able to eat has affected her positively
what's her condition called?

I have a friend who suffers the same condition as her, and I must say they both push through no matter the circumstances, something I admire.
There was a contestant on America’s Got Talent who was dying of terminal cancer. Before she performed, she said something along the lines of, “You can’t wait until life isn’t hard anymore to decide to be happy.” She’s since passed, but her state name was Nightbirde, and she sang an original song called “It’s Okay” 🥲
Imagine living your life without food.....we can't even imagine it and she is living it🥺🥺🥺🥺such a brave and lively girl ❤🥺
I did it for 4 years and only got the ability back this year. I'm limited to about 5 things but it's so amazing to eat again. It sucks but you do,for the most part, get use to it. Though there were days I'd cry because I'd have cravings so bad or be so hungry and just want food. Especially around my period.
@@perfectlyimperfect2368 God bless you❤🥺
I couldn't go on. I'm so sorry for her! Food is life! I can't imagine not being able to feel that bliss after a giant meal. My hopes for a cure go out to her!
Damn that must have been scary to go through getting a diagnosis. Im glad they were able to find a solution
*me even a day of not eating💀*
as a person with gastroparesis this representation is all I’ve ever wanted. To see a large channel promote somebody with disabilities, and who is on TPN means the world to me. People don’t realize how disabling it is to not be able to eat or enjoy food and foods around the holidays. I hope everybody who has a Food centric disability is doing OK this holiday season. as somebody with gastroparesis who is also NPO this really helped me feel better.

I was just devastated complaining about my life but this clip made me realize there are people living harder lives. Let’s count our blessings!
We should also acknowledge that life isn't the suffering olympics. We don't need to compare our pain and struggles to other people in order to validate/invalidate it. If you are going through something, it's okay to be upset about it even if others have it worse. There will always be someone who has it worse. That doesn't erase your own feelings about things you have to deal with. So complain away!

Bro if she has to atleast put some water in her mouth so it doesnt get dehydrated lmao
@@twistedkap3882that's not actually true. I have a different condition to this lady, but I have the same IV nutrition and line in my chest. The bags give me all the liquid I need to be hydrated. Drinking water isn't how your mouth stays wet most of the time, it's actually saliva being constantly produced that stops your mouth being dry. If your body can sense that it's dehydrated, then it will slow down making saliva, so the hydration in your body is saved for the more crucial areas of need. As long as I get that bag infused every day, I'm hydrated enough and don't need water to keep my mouth from being dry
@@unknownentity7964 that's something interesting to know
@@unknownentity7964 sorry, where does the saliva go? If the stomach doesn't work, where does it end up? Can the saliva even get absorbed somewhere if digestive system doesn't work?
@@awesd7925 this may be TMI but for me I would end up all gathering in my stomach after I swallowed whatever saliva during the day. So in my stomach, there would be a constant build up of stomach acid, bile washing back from my intestines, and saliva. Eventually I'd throw up cus my stomach got sick (da dum tss) of it being there so long. Luckily now I have a tube in my stomach that means I can drain out stuff so I can attach a drain bag and don't wake up in the night puking up that stuff

I have gastroparesis as well, but a very mild form. I can still eat, better now than I could when I was diagnosed. Those months between when my symptoms started and when I was diagnosed and able to make a treatment plan were absolutely miserable. I cried over food, a lot. My heart goes out to you, Loretta ❤
I lost too much in my young life (30s now). I lost my twin sister to cancer, my partner to accident, and parents to COVID. If i can no longer eat that's it. No point going on. Being a foodie is the only thing that got me through it all. My promise to my twin I'll travel the world and try various foods would mean nothing If i can never eat food again.

That breaks my heart , I'm so sorry to hear you've had to cope with all that. My twin sister and I have the same terminal condition. We're both on TPN(the IV nutrition) that the lady in the video has. For me, the disease has impacted my organs a lot worse and my muscles. For my twin, her brain is a lot more affected meaning she has bad epilepsy and brain damage, along with autism which is more severe than mine too. At least I can understand what is happening to me, it breaks my heart when I see her in pain or struggling, and aren't able to explain to her why. She has developed a severe phobia of hospitals understandably, and it's so difficult when we have to go to hospital for treatment and she has a meltdown. We can't get her to understand that she has to endure those treatments to make her feel better in the long run
She is the definition of "NEVER BACK DOWN NEVER WHAT"

The fact that she is going through that everyday and dealing with it so bravely gives so much courage to me. So sorry to hear about this. Not being able to eat or drink sounds like torture to me.
I hope, one day soon, they can find a way to wake your stomach up. Is it only your stomach that's paralyzed or is your intestines involved? What about hydration?
I can kind of relate to your illness.
I was diagnosed with severe Crohn's disease in 1997. I wasn't supposed to live after my colon ruptured.
There were months when I couldn't eat or drink anything because my stomach would be in excruciating pain even after swallowing 1 bite of food. It didn't matter if it was bland mashed potatoes. It made me sick.
I was on fluids and TPN, a.k.a. "steak in a bag" a lot.
I was told years later that I have "ileus". That's where parts of my small intestines stop flowing with the rest. It happens mostly from having multiple abdominal surgeries. So, part of it is paralyzed temporarily.
It takes about 2-5 days to start back up.
Having no colon, I dehydrate very easily so, whenever this starts up and doesn't resolve in a couple of days, I have to be hospitalized and given fluids until my intestines decide to work again.
Unfortunately, if it's severe, I have to have an NG tube.
