      @williamrori1274 Před 2 lety +17

      So I think he misspoke a bit there, but let's dive in regardless.
      Firstly, let's be clear that dealerships want to do warranty work. They get compensation for the parts, tech time, and administration fees from the OE when they complete a warranty claim. Where this gets muddy is that at any time the OE can deny compensation from a warranty job because of modifications ( if they look in to it). This leaves the dealership to eat all of the costs, which is generally why there's a large difference between dealerships that are willing to accept a larger margin of risk when it comes to completing warranty work on modified cars.
      Secondly, make no mistake, if a catastrophic failure occurs and it's modified you are likely paying for it. That's fine, I can accept the small risk - this is a cheap hyundai not a Porsche. Again, if you're too scared of getting warranty claims denied, do not modify your car. Simple as that.

    1) Are you street driving in N Mode or N custom mode with some different tune settings?
    2) You talked about Hyundai's Warranty. With the mods you done, how confident are you that they wont void warranty because you added mods to the car. While reading the warranty section, it suggests warranty can be voided if any mods are done and I'm sure Hyundai will make claims that the reason for any failure will be directed to the mods, etc. Perhaps you can talk about that a bit during your next vid or just your initial thoughts on that.

    As a Velo N owner the only issue Ive seen with SXTH element is they do this very foolish thing where they tune the electronic throttle to go full 100% when you're only pressing the pedal at 30%, it makes daily driving substantially worse for most people (I have 3 other friends with Velo N's who all have shared the same sentiment)
    SXTH refuses to acknowledge that it's their doing, and they say "all N's act like this stock" (newsflash, they don't)
    If you do tune, dont cheap out with a JB4, go straight to LAP3 who has a much more all around driveable tune.
    If you do have a Veloster N and you do plan on getting power, get the Turbo from the Elantra N as it's a substantially better build with higher boost yield, power output, and is less likely to shatter like the fragile turbo that comes stock.
    I've tracked 3 times so far with my veloster N, and honestly stock it doesn't need much more, but for power, get the elantra N turbo, don't bother with the stock turbo as it's too problematic. Thanks for reading this if you did and hopefully I helped someone out.

      There is no "throttle map" that does this. We don't change the throttle mapping at all actually, just torque requests 😁 The throttle position at 30% throttle would be....30% throttle.

    That circle thing next to the digital gauge cluster is actually just a left over piece from the lower model cars. In the N-Line model that circle is actually a drive mode button you press to change it to sport, comfort etc. But in the N Performance cars they don’t need it as they have a N steering wheel button. Hope that helps

    As a DCT Veloster N owner, I drove the a Elantra N DCT and I preferred my Veloster. I could feel the difference in handling and acceleration. You may not feel the difference because of the tune but that same tune could be applied to a Veloster and it would make both cars faster in general. I felt the Elantra had a softer suspension slightly which to me was more desirable. Veloster N is still too stiff.

      @LmaoZeroGN Před 2 lety +1

      The DCT can handle more than the Manual to most people's knowledge. In the arizona scene we have 2 veloster N's pushing large power
      1 on e35 with an Elantra N turbo, full bolt-ons, and a Sleeved motor, the trans has no issues
      and another on e85 with a larger turbo pushing close to 440 (fully built block) with the stock transmission, no grind, no gear lockouts, everything is fine
      The DCT is predicted to be able to handle 650 or so, which is unnecessary on this platform because after 400hp the car honestly becomes a torque steer problem and the drivability is horribly reduced. Keep it around 330-350

      For street driving only? Honestly no. Michelin P4S's and ContiExtreme Contact Sports are a much better street tire. That being said, they are both pretty slow on track and the Michelins like to disintegrate during light track use. So if you're looking for a dual duty tire with an emphasis on track, the RT660's are a great option.
