Miyoo A30 PSP Gameplay Testing

- In this video, I take a look at the new Miyoo A30 and its PSP emulation capabilities.
The PSP emulation on this device is not great but there are some games that are playable. I hope that in the future, an update to the emulator core or the addition of the standalone PPSSPP emulator will improve performance somewhat.
All tests are performed on the 0427 Miyoo Firmware Update with the latest RA30 community OS package.

Could you revisit this now that spruce is out with a standalone ppsspp emulator? I'td be helpful to see your optimal settings for the system as well. Thanks for such high quality content as always!
This video needs a revisit. Subbed/Liked. Thank you. I own a Retroid Pocket 4 Pro and love it but was thinking of getting A30 just becuase its small somewhat powerful and very cool.
Pretty good I don't know why people bother themself trying to hate this device it's not that bad I order one in black it's really good that's the truth
I think a lot of people are trying to compare the performance to the rg28xx which is fair considering they are the same price point
But the ergonomics of the a30 is better imo. Better face buttons and much better shoulder buttons.
I hope some good community firmware can come to this device and improve the performance

Not too bad at all with psp, but batocera/knulli is work in progress for it, so we can expect cfw and better performance for it! 🔥
psp test but with no monster hunter or gran turismo is a miss, imo.
Seriously considering this.. The RG28xx is throwing me off with its unnecessarily small buttons..
Can this device run portmaster by any chance?
No portmaster.
The Miyoo A30 has better ergonomics for sure but it's best to treat this more like a horizontal Miyoo mini plus in terms of performance.
Rg28xx has much better performance overall and better cfw support
In theory portmaster can be implemented with knulli, but compatibility will be really low due to only 512mb of ram and only 32bit armhf support
..And where is the Vice city stories test?
VCS is quite demanding and definitely would not run well on this device.
For this test I stuck to games I know are easier to emulate.
(15-20fps and some big fall at 10, unplayable)
