    I have 3 pairs of Chayas myself (Melrose Lavender, Deluxe Latte & Melrose Deluxe No War) and I agree. All 3 boots are pretty much the same. They are all well-padded & comfortable. All 3 have 62mm 78A wheels and are good for both indoors and outdoors. The only noticeable differences are the plates, toe stops, and wheels. My plain Melroses came with the plastic plate, fixed toe stop, and flat edge wheels, while the Deluxes came with metal plates, adjustable toe stops (nuts), and rounded edge wheels. Neither is really better than the other, it's all skater preference.

    @l.a.k Před 3 lety +15

    Another advantage of the Shari plate (on the Melrose Elite) is that they’re compatible with the Chaya sliders. It’s actually the same plate as on their park skates, like the Jump, Karma and Kismet (Barbiepatins), only on the Elite it’s pink (only on the dusty rose and sherbet lime, on the love is love it’s a regular black plate). The Elites actually make for a pretty good (beginner) park skate!

      Can they be converted to indoor skates when needed? Im just now interested in roller skating and trying to determine the right skates is difficult

    • @RhianChambers
      @RhianChambers  Před 2 lety +3

      All skates can be used inside or outside, it’s how u set them up that determines which is best for the skates ur using. I’d say heeled skates are better for beginners (unless ur looking to park skate or derby then I believe flat are better) if u want to skate outside the bigger and softer the wheels the better, Ull also want a toe stop. For inside skating Ull want smaller harder wheels, doesn’t have to be the hardest tho, if they’re very hard a beginner will probably find them too slippy. And if ur wanting to jam Ull want jam plugs instead of toe stops. I’m lazy and don’t like changing my set ups depending on wether I’m going outside or staying in so I have multiple pairs of skates set up for what I want to use em for.

      How are the elites? Im currently deciding on whether i should get the deluxe latte(which is at least 50 euro cheaper) or the elite blue angels --which i find gorgeous but way too pricey for a first pair! In one site i found that the elites were much lighter for some reason? Very curious..

    • @hollydatsopoulos7998
      @hollydatsopoulos7998 Před rokem

      @@theprettygoodgatsby Well, I went down a size, hoping that they would fit properly, but they're a tad too small. I can skate in them for a little while, but then, my toes start hurting. 😢 I'm really bummed, because they are good skates, and they feel great when I put them on. Plus, they have the nylon plate, so they are a lot lighter than the Deluxes. So, I guess Chaya's aren't the skates for me. I gave my turquoise pair to my niece. She had never worn a pair of skates in her life, until then. She loves them so much, she skates in them every day! They are still holding up after almost two years of constant wear and tear. Hope this helps! 😊
