In this video, we take you on a culinary adventure through the streets of Marrakech, Morocco, where we learn how to make classic dishes like mint tea, Moroccan salad, chicken tagine, and a cinnamon orange dessert. We start off by visiting a local market to source fresh and halal ingredients for our dishes, and then head to the riad to perfect our skills. But the day doesn't end there - we also taste test traditional Moroccan pastries from Patisserie Amandine and give a tour of the stunning Riad Elegancia. Finally, we end our day at Comptoir Darna for dinner and a belly dancing show, which was honestly over hyped. Whether you're a seasoned foodie or just looking for a taste of Morocco, this video is sure to leave you craving more!

Everything I use to film:
While I am on the go, I film with my iPhone 11 Pro Max on the Dji Mobile Osmo 3. This allows me to get super smooth shots. I combine that with the either the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic and use a mount to attach it to the gimbal.

When I film at my apartment, I use my iPhone Pro Max as the main camera and my Canon 6D with the 24-105 f/4 lens for B-roll and photos. For the overhead shots, I use an overhead camera rig to mount my Canon 6D and connect a camera monitor so I can view the shot. And when my camera is set up on the ground, I use a quick release tripod. For lighting, I use the Neewer ring light and for audio, the Saramonic lavalier mic or Rhode mic (Linked Above).

In order for the tagine not to burn, it is preferable to use wood charcoal or place an iron board between the fire and the tagine. It is also better to put onions first

PS :Moroccans serve tea by lifting the teapot high, for several reasons: it allows to oxidize, to cool and most importantly, to froth the tea to protect the tea from dust & co.. is like the ozone layer protecting the planet earth ..( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡ -)

Honestly, I wouldn’t recommend the cooking class we took… If you want an authentic cooking class I would check out ‘House of Fusion Marrakech’. Edwina, the owner commented on the first episode in this series and I wish I had taken one of her classes! She sounds so passionate about cooking. Otherwise if you want more of a culinary chef experience, they offer classes at ‘Maison D’Arabe’

@@MadeByMily Actually, there are many tea brands. They might be all different and people buy what they like or can afford. The Saharien brands are known to be the best. The color changes according to the amount of tea you put. It's up to personal preferences just like sugar. 😄
