- "The Astonishing Power of Emotions: Let Your Feelings Be Your Guide" is the title of the newest addition to The Teachings of Abraham from Esther and Jerry Hicks. Published by Hay House, it is available wherever books are sold, and also at our website.
Esther & Jerry Hicks are the authors of numerous books based on the Teachings of Abraham and their latest book, "Money and The Law of Attraction", reached #1 on the New York Times bestseller list.
For over 20 years, Esther has translated blocks of thought from "Non-Physical Source Energy" - which she also identifies as her "Inner Being" or "Soul" - and who refer to themselves in the plural as "Abraham" (no relation to the Biblical figure).

nerdman431: Esther has said that she is not "possessed" nor is she "channeling" - as most people understand the term. Rather, she has explained that she is aligning with the Unlimited Non-Physical Source Energy that is in all of us, and is using her own vocabulary to translate blocks of thought from an aspect of this Source Energy - which she has identified as her Soul.

All this time I have been dreaming about my career, and it just dawned on me that not only is it happening but I have been the only thing getting in my way and slowing down what I already know will happen. WOW.... I am 22 and have never felt so enlightened in my life..... speechless!

Funny story.
Just six months ago I was diagnosed with congestive heart failure.
Of course, the medical community has a PLAN for how to deal with this which I have rejected.
I see this as an opportunity to see what has been out of balance and that putting my heart/mind in the correct place, I am developing into a creature with a huge,giving heart.
And so each day, everytime I think about it and feel what it does, I embrace the feeling of a powerful, healers heart.

Since the mid-1990s, I'd had a very specific intuition that my emotions had some sort of "power" that would help me improve my life if I only knew what it was and how to use it. In 2007, I stumbled on this video, the first time I'd ever seen or heard of Esther Hicks and Abraham. I bought this book the next day, and have been learning from the Teachings of Abraham and my own Inner Being ever since. Abraham is the real deal. We are the creators of our own reality! Profound Appreciation!

This makes a lot of sense to me. I'm an illustrator, and I notice that I seem to get more energy directed at me when I'm absorbed in my work. There is certainly a connection which I've been aware of, and I haven't been able to describe it as eloquently as Abraham. Thanks for posting.

596278: Esther does not prefer the word "channeling" to describe what she does because it has meaning for most people that does not reflect her experience. For instance, she is not in a trance, she is not hearing a voice in her head, and Abraham is not something outside of her - but rather her own Soul.
I"m reading the book now, and it is so great! it gives you examples of situations and how to change your upstream thoughts downstream so you can let it in. I practice it already, it is simply wonderful! Thanks a lot Abraham and the Hicks for such a noble work! Blessings for you.

@miamiviceali Esther is not in a trance, in the usual sense of the word, and so does remember a great deal of what occurs. But her focus on the process of translation always makes her eager to review the recordings of the session afterward to get the full impact of the Teachings.

@senthious Esther says that Abraham is her translation of the Non-Physical Source Energy within her, in other words her own Soul. She interprets this Energy in the plural as a reflection of Abraham's understanding of the true nature of Source.

arxarxarxarx: Abraham has mentioned on many occassions that "The Wizard of Oz" is Esther's favorite movie, and sometimes makes references to it in their teachings. But, in the case of the other CZcams video you refer to, the comment by Abraham had a double meaning - since a moment before someone in the kitchen area of the hotel just behind the stage dropped something creating a big noise - which, because of the directional nature of Esther's microphone, cannot be heard on the audio recording.
Astonishing is a good word for Esther!

i just ordered the book. love these videos. they make a good balance for the doom and gloom stuff i've been immersed in lately.
If it helps you any, I've stopped evaluating the "source" of information and just evaluate how the information feels to me. It's tricky because we're steeped in dogma and religion that we usually rely on what we were taught in the past. If we can learn to rely on our own inner guidance, we begin to see truth. This sort of thing is now very natural to me because it is not new to me. I think it's terrific that while you think it's a little weird, you still let the information help you. -Marian
