I think it would be a fun and challenging exercise, to write a screenplay for Robert Lawrence Leonard, the Dr.Wilson actor playing Marlin Man. His not caring as much about his amputated leg as he does his fishy was fun and priceless. 😂😂😂 I can totally see Dr.Wilson going there, lol. But I wonder what Mr.Leonard has hiding that Hollywood hasn't coaxed out of him? I think I need to binge-watch his work... There's always crisis in film. And the actors that usually take the leads are the edgy ones that Directors don't quite know where they're going but trust it will be good anywhere they take 'em. Stars like Mr.Leonard make the perfect straight man for the unpredictable ones to play off of because it makes the crazy look crazier, the lostness more pronounced, and gives a character's growth a place to be rewarded.
Marlin Man character works because they're all playing straighter than he is😂 (And they stuff his fishy...Which sounds funny to say 🤣🙏❤️)
Maybe my opinion will change after binge watching his work, but, at the end of the day, I don't actually *want* to see a scary crazy Mr.Leonard. Or a mean to be mean one. I like seeing the good & the right find happines in the things they try so hard for - because, some days, we all face times when it would be too easy to give up; or when we're tired of being the goodguy, or the backup, the sidekick, the straight-man. And sometimes you just can't be, you're forced not to be, and it breaks you. Yeah, I would love to write for this guy.
