First time seeing your wife Josh and your right she's very beautiful
Sorry u guys had more problems. glad it was an easy fix and didn't do much damage
Has Greg Wittsock seen that pop-up tank? I net he and Ed could comee up with somet.
I absolutely love the 2200 w/o the tile! ❤ It looks great.
The rays seem to like it too 😊
It looks really nice in there. Great job, everyone
Thanks for the video. I haven't noticed the sturgeon in any videos for a long time. Are they still around the rescue?
No. They were sold and rehomed a while back.
Thank you for giving your time.
I wish I could own some fresh water rays but I live in Texas so I can’t :(
What happened to the Sturgeon? I never see it anymore. Also what happened to your smaller Aripimas?
Excellent update Josh even having your good lady in to help get rid of the water it’s certainly a family based OFR great smooth camera work ❤️💚👍🇬🇧🇬🇧
I'd love one of those giant garumi but sadly I live in the UK! Dream fish right there!
Congratulations 🎉 hope you have a beautiful wedding ❤️
Use caution wrapping cords around things to create a coil. It generates heat and leads to fire. I have thermal imaging photos showing it.
Good morning Josh..
Hope your day is going well. Thank you for the walk through.
Play safe have fun. 😊😊
👍🐟👊💯
What about putting the pond tank in the center of the room and the regular tanks all against the walls.
I have to move my 19 year old 50 gallon bow front. The stand is about to give out. I can't complain because that stand has been through a lot and is still standing. I'm so nervous to move the tank.
The Piraiba is gorgeous. The tank is cool also.
I was thinking that it rivals the late geo in how good it looks. Really beautiful whiskers and tail streamers. Love to own one. The problem is that they're completely inappropriate as pets other than for someone with a monster pond like OFR.
Finding my floor full of water one day is still not biggest fear. Glad you could find your leak and that it was an easy fix
Brilliant upload 👏
Looks like you could use the caged animal thatl you have above the pacu tank, to power the pump as it runs on its exercise wheel. If you haven't done so already.
Yes!!! Get more scats!!!!! They're gorgeous!!!!!😍😍😍
I missed a lot of wet excitement by a few days! Looks like you got it all handled very quickly.
Always something new
Good work Josh!!
do not hang a pump on its power cord, it will get damaged over time and cause the pump to short.
Pacus are no joke, I had a few, and they gave me a hard time
maybe you could put a PVC pipe around the power cables to stop the pacu from chewing them off?
He answered this in an earlier comment and he said he had pvc and they chewed through it and it fell off. I'm pretty sure it can be seen in the video on the bottom of the tank
Hope you can fix it
You ought to make a outside pond to put only the pacu in. Then you wouldn't have to worry about the cords
I think it's too cold for them during the cold months
1st Good Morning From Texas Stay Fishy 🐟
You might be able to open the pump up and rewire the shortened cord back into it. So it may not be a total loss...just more work.
Huge congratulations on the wedding!!🎉🎊🎉
Can you run the power cord inside a piece of pvc tube to prevent the pacu biting it?
He answered this in an earlier comment and he said he had pvc and they chewed through it and it fell off. I'm pretty sure it can be seen in the video on the bottom of the tank
Puts me in mind of a particularly nasty Queen trigger that was gnawing on the plexiglass tank at the store. The Queen had been sold 3 times I think😮 Great vid as always😊
Yeh I also have pacus they just so annypng, they will break the electeic wire and ground the water, we put either plastic tubing or thick hose around it to keep them from destroying❤
@Ohio Fish Rescue. 4:44 that is my giant gourami Charlie. I was told he wouldn't be put up for adoption. I understand mistakes happen while recording no worries there. I just wanted to clarify so nobody trys to adopt a fish that is already claimed. I dropped him off due to my family having our house sold off from under us and so we could move back home to take care of my father who is struggling from cancer. I love what you guys are doing at the rescue. I mean no disrespect or anything. Just wanted to clarify for the future. Please keep up the good work. I wish the best for your family.
❤
OFR fish love never done..just love the way you explain what might go wrong... nice video
Buy a fiberglas tank from predatory Fins for the pool pond
Piraiba looking great.
Thanks for the update.
I can't even remember how many times I have commented on CZcams videos that pop up swimming pools are not above ground ponds. I don't see how you guys get that kind of longevity out of them.. growing up we used to have to get a new one almost every year. I would never trust pudding fish especially large fish in one of those. I would build a bunch of giant tanks along the walls out of heavy duty plywood treated boards and heavy duty connectors. But, that takes a lot of time and money but these guys clearly have the talent to do anything.
Maybe you could try to protect the equipment in the pacu tank. 😊
We put cord protectors on the cables but sometimes those get broken as well. I don't always catch everything
Do you guys still have the wolf fish we don't see it much and that's my favorite fish would love to see more of the wolf fish.
Sold the pair awhile back
Cover the cord In pocket no way the pacu will get it then
We use plastic covers , they break them sometimes
Josh youre a good informative narrater!
Mrs Josh really has so much work being the wife of a pro fishkeeper. Thanks for the video
Make sure the plugs are closed on your pool pond scrub them clean and a little around them and cover them in ice coral glue (it cures in minutes under water) so they can't open again just use a pump if u gotta drain it. Just trying to help
Am I the only woman who thinks it's weird that his wife is cleaning up the water with her LV purse on her shoulder? "Hurry honey, act like you're cleaning up the water so I can put you in the video" 😂😂😂
Lol
😂😂😂 Brand Promotion approved 😅
Nice waterchange just b4 springtime good for breeding😂
I think the new pump needs to be suction cupped to the glass or supported in some way other than hanging from the power cord.
It hangs from the big hose the cord was pulled to keep the back of the pump and the cord out of the water . Because the pacu will def bite the cords
Dang poor Josh had a rough day at the office today.
Id love to adopt any freshwater eels or bichirs or lung fish
I do have some lungfish up for adoption. Are you local?
No I'm In Waldorf Maryland
Could y'all deliver or ship by chance?
Could the snails go in with plecos & scat?
That's a good idea. Idk about the scat, but I had my snails with my pleco for years, and he never bothered them.
I was wondering why you don't build a pond with epoxy etc, instead of the plastic pool.
Greetings from the Netherlands.
It's been talked about. It's an eventually thing once we have the available funds and time
The pacu bit it off ? Or it was bumped into so many times , the cord snaped . It looked to line up with the water level , where the cord would have a natural weakness from the water to air for extended times.
Where has Brian’s arapaima gone from the pool pond????
Was moved awhile back. No longer in my facility
😊
Another first world problem, they do make water sensors that will text you if they sense water, and near that pool pond is the perfect place to put one! ⏰🚨‼️
I’m quite positive they have them already
@@rudykozan5009Yes, they already have them. Rich has talked about it a couple of times
If only there was a nearby aquarium youtuber looking to sell some fiberglass tubs…
Do you still have the black spotted eel and and big fire eel in the 1000 gallon
Archer fish can jump fairly high.
the Archer Fish in that tank at the pool pond great idea 👍as long as they dont jump ?
Hi friends i like the Tanganika fish do You can Send That to San Antonio Texas?
They don't ship
Should put a pond liner in the pop up pool! It'll make it last much longer!
My fear when you all leave for wedding is who will do troubleshooting? Someone who has the mechanical mindset and experience?
Maybe talk about it on Friday livestream?
Introducing Jerry the acclimater
@jerryjohnson4525 lol I was just gonna say Jerry will be there
Why not put some pvc around the pumps cord
I usually do, the original pump had one but the pacu chewed through it and I didn't catch it in time
@@OhioFishRescue-com oh damm
I have heard you guys say you rehome fish with a donation. I'm not ready yet but i'm hoping to build a 700-1000 gallon plywood pond before summer. Is there a e-mail or way to start that conversation?
They have several ways to contact them. I was able to go through their Facebook page to contact them.
Yes the fb or insta is probably the easiest
Rich and Josh always answer my FB messages
I think the harsh reality is the bit by bit infrastructural growth of OFR is starting to reach breaking point.
Everything has an expiration date sadly.
OhioFishRescue has a place to downsize just too bad it’s the blue and gold state up north. I mean it’s great that zoo’s and other big businesses are looking for monsters to display. As for the pacu there is a rescue place in Florida that has a large outdoor pond.
We will not be downsizing. We do not need to we fix problems as they come up. Nothing has a forever life expectancy, not even thanks, we fixed things as they go. We're not stopping we're not. We don't need anybody's help to take our fish. We're fine as can. We are Ohio fish rescue.
How can I adopt them bichirs from you? And do you know what type they are? I have 3 senegal, 2 albino senegal, 1 endli bichir.
Status live stream
Did you get shocked by an electric eel? Asking for a friend
I have indeed
Can you ship small fish that are up for adoption?
I am in Idaho.
They don't ship, unfortunately
Do you ever have to refuse fish? Like what the heck will you do with the wels as it grows?? Potentially very dangerous to you guys and it'll probably eat everything else eventually!
We have never refused a fish. Our network is very large and have been able to manage everything thus far
Do not add those tigers together. They are going to end badly. Its not worth the drama that will ensue when it goes south. Spare urself lol
Why on earth would anyone keep fish that have sharp spines in an intex pool with only a thin fragile layer of vinyl holding the water? No disrespect or anything.
He literally said in the video it was temporary due too the leaks in their tanks. And they also have kept rays in that intex for years before without issues.
Someone isn't using their ears!
You guys have become real clickbaiters!!! “Thousands of gallons on the floor” yeah ok.
Over 4,000 gallons to be specific, monster pond dropped by a few inches from the leak. All went Into my back yard if you actually cared to watch the video. I spoke about how it came out the crack in the blocks
Don’t you love when you try and be a smartass but it backfires….smh🤦♂️
You are welcome to volunteer to clean it up next 😊
Lord, you people who complain about clickbait are ridiculous. If you actually thought about it, you would realize that just about every title is clickbait. "I should never have done this" with a picture of a fish. CLICKBAIT. lmao... Go find something meaningful to whine about.
That African scat reminds me of a datnoid I don't know which one cost more but you know that would be a cool tank if you couldn't afford the datnoids for vice a versa I mean both tanks would look cool as hell
