- William Golding delivered a personal and at times humorous lecture before the assembled audience and members of the Swedish Academy in Stockholm. We re-release this speech on the anniversary of the publishing of 'Lord of the flies', released 65 years ago this week.

Great words from a great novelist !!!!!!!!!!
Well worth the hearing, and heeding.
Strange that there is no video for such big event !!!!!
"King David and King Solomon lead merry merry lives, with many many lady friends and many many wives, but when old age crept over them with many many qualms King Solomon wrote Proverbs and King David wrote the Psalms."
I need to see these ceremonies in person at least once. Thanks for these uploads.
did you found it?
I must say no offense meant (it is hard to give offense to those who are no longer alive really) that it is about ten times more amusing to listen to Golding than to actually read the man
I dissagree about your last argument but you have good humor :)
@@Adam-lh9gj go read a golding book and you'll change your mind
He should have been given the Nobel prize in PHYSICS not in literature.
I think you have written wrong.
He has a broad understanding of the laws and implications of these laws in various circumstances, like a keenly interested and enthusiastic physicist use to have.
I'm astonished by this man.
Nice
This guy is hilarious :D
