Very good job presenting the information.
I so wish that there was a video to talk about every day usage of a AVR like this. How to manage the remotes (CEC usage/programming and alternatives); how to best switch between the sound modes and which one works best when. AND - and this is most important to me - what not to sweat about because it won’t really make a big difference and what I have to master.
For example: does this ATMOS thing work out of the box if I watch a movie or do I need to press buttons - to speak plainly.
Reading the manual is helping, but it’s not a perfect solution for people over the age of 55. 😏
Awesome review, nailed it!, this is definitely a bang for buck avr
Great review, bud!! Super helpful 👍
Excellent review! Certainly helpful for me at an entry-level, thank you very much.
I only find that your lighting could be improved
Thank you for the audio 🙏 advice
Hi, can i use sony ss440- 30 watt rms vintage tower speaker pair and denon scm40-65w rms bookshelf pair in parllel as the front channel (Bi wiring), can the reciever handle it (Power and impedance wise)? In case it can't then can the Atmos channel be assigned as an additional front channel pair (Bi amping) using the on screen interface?
I’m curious how well this unit will power tower speakers that are rated up to 150 Watts? Infinity Primus 250 model.
This Receiver powers 150 watt Klipsch Reference floor standers on L and R , and a 100 watt centre channel. Also Klipsch 125 watt floor stand surrounds L+R no problem. Sound is clean and powerful. All are 8 ohms. It’s an amazing amp for the money.
I have this receiver and I’m curious. It seems like you have a ton of vinyl. I listen to a lot myself. Would you recommend this for vinyl amplification as well or something else? I dont use the internal phono as i really like the one i own. But i haven’t been able to A/B this with something else like say a Cambridge amp. Also a bummer this can’t be used as preamp for that.
Plug those phono plugs in any of your resource behind your receiver such as dvd auxiliary and voila you will hear it.
I have my phono set up in mine and it works, any issue correspond back to me
Is Bi Amp available?
Thanks! Hello from Russia!
Stevie d to play phono just plug your analog plugs behind your receiver in any dvd aux or cd input on back of your receiver and assigned when it ask for analog rca plugs coaxial etc and choose rca plug and voila
I have vhs and laserdisc this is perfect for me
Can you add 2 subwoofers or only 1?
It’s a 7.2, so it can handle two subs. When he has it facing backward, you can see the two inputs for subwoofers.
2 subs.....I own it. 👍🏼
I have a Pioneer PLX 1000 and I would like buying this receiver.. Can I use this Denon as receiver to my Pioneer? I listen to a lot of vinyls. Thank you!
You should be able to. It has a phono input.
@@christopherjohnson3686 Thank you so much!

Denon is a great receiver but you have a doctorate degree to program those unit and that’s why a lot of people returned it to the store because of the setup instructions is very difficult
I found the initial setup - via the setup wizard displayed on my TV - to be fairly easy to follow.
I struggle with learning to become familiar and comfortable with everyday usage like switching between different modes and learning all the acronyms so I don’t miss out on the capabilities. I’m also wanting to be the wife’s source for her questions about usage.
Wish there was a user guide (on video) for just daily usage for me.
