    the interior wasn't modest before... in my country, the old model competes with a downgraded interior crv and x trail, the cx-5 before this was the most fun to drive (by a Longshot too) meaning the engine was in no way bad, the price made sense for what it is, the crv and x trail was similar in price.
    it competes with the same cars in the west does it not?
    btw that nice interior this car has will be downgraded to so much hard plastics in my country try XD it just looks so good there...

    Diesel should be available in September. $2800 premium, 40 mpg, 310 lbft torque. Slightly slower to 60. Tow capacity 3000 lbs. Educated guess 😁

      @TurfSurf Před 7 lety

      kapsgunner83 I am waiting for the diesel version. I have been driving BMWs and Audis for the last 15 years, Mazda is the only Japanese brand I would consider when comes to exterior and interior designs, plus I don't know any other Japanese brand has a new diesel coming out.

    • @PacoRobbins
      @PacoRobbins Před 5 lety +2

      Normally I'd agree with this, but the weaker engines go forever. I'm willing to take the power loss if it means the car can make it to 300k without any sort of major replacements. The engine in my Speed3 went at 82k. It was modded, but I know it wouldn't have made it more than 130-150k stock. My parents bought a 6 brand new back in 2006. It has 250k miles on it and is still going just fine to this day.

    @TinLeadHammer Před 7 lety

    I wish they improved the interior and NVH, but kept the exterior styling. IMHO, Mazda ruined the CX-5. It had that chunky yet friendly and very "one-piece" look, now it has this long hood and narrow headlights from the late 1980-ies. Do they want to compete with the QX-50? Meh. And as always, I hate the non-removable tablet in the middle, which does not support neither Android Auto nor Apple CarPlay.
