I thought this was a legit Antiques Roadshow... Until I saw Ryan Reynold.
Its for a new movie on netflix 😂
Me too. I glanced at the egg for a second than continued eating and listening. Once he started saying he obtained it in a questionable manor I thought what idiot brings... Then I looked and saw Ryan
and the egg 🤣
The same for me! What a gorgeous egg, not to mention Ryan Reynolds 🥵😂
@@jeneenr33 Slight correction, but it's "questionable manner'....you'll thank me later...(note from Grammar Police)
Who ever thought of this, is brilliant. Not only did this video grab our attention, its giving The Roadshow much respect. fantastic.
⁵
The guest snubbed the host. Kind of funny. Cut him off and said get to the price - good one
@@dc7370 that's because the "guest" is Ryan Reynolds.
Love Ryan Reynolds’s!!! He’s hysterical and hot!
Recognize Ryan Reynolds
I cannot believe Antiques Roadshow actually did this! Nice to add a little humor to the program and not be so serious and formal all the time.
I agree, it was a lot of fun
I thought I recognized a movie star! They had me going for about 3 seconds!
This is good comedy from this show. I shared a house with someone here in Australia several decades back (Yes I'm that old and no I'm not an antique, I'm a vintage classic), that enjoyed watching the English version because he was amused by the disappointment of people that thought they owned a million pound item being worth nothing. He was a not funny person that thought being mean quickly was funny. He couldn't understand why we booted the "C" word, and he was a cunt, out like all his other housemates before us.
@@shakesfirst2443 I enjoyed the British version of the show when I lived in Australia as well (hosted by Fiona Bruce, right)? Fantastic stories, like the guy who found Winston Churchill's top hat and other belongings at a garbage dump. Whereabouts in Australia do you live?
@@abdiver12 You, I hope, didn't enjoy it to see people's embarrassment and disappointment like our favourite sociopath. I live in the not capitol city Sydney. I say it this way because someone told me recently I'm not Australian because I don't even know where the capital city is when I told them it's Canberra. The broternet is funny sometimes.
"yeah... I'm totally passing away here"
legit laughed out loud at that
Love Ryan Reyolds
Ryan Reynolds is a great supporter of PBS and agreed to help out during the fund-raising part of the season.
He's just everywhere, it seems. And, I'm not complaining.
@@2degucitas - im confused are Nolan booth and ryan twins?
@@worldview2134 nolan booth? Don't know the guy.
@@2degucitas oh well
I'm confused!!! Did Ryan Reynolds lay that egg or did Cleopatra? My bet is on Ryan!!!
This must have been so much fun to shoot.
Ridiculously perfect in every way. Lark deserves more than SAG standard. Get the man a trailer.
I mean..best promo for Red Notice? Probably.
I Googled Nolan Booth immediately after watching this. So typical of Reynolds. Marketing Genius!
@@zmznzbzvzmznzb Want see him at his best with that.. youtube Ryan Reynolds on the mask singer in South Korea.
@@GlennTheSadMarinersFan wow!
Definitely best promo for Red Notice, but a great WIN-WIN.. promotion for Antiques Road Show as well!
Ryan being totally bored with the appraisal. Too hilarious!
"Never mind that other mumbo-jumbo. Let's get to the egg's worth, please."
What's wrong with you? NC
"... I'm totally passing away here." 😆
This was a fun little surprise, love when Antiques Roadshow gets to have a little fun lol
This is probably the funniest thing I've ever seen on PBS in my 45 years of watching. Absolutely hilarious
Was this for Red Notice?
I really like that everybody played it straight. They even had the $100 million appraisal show up numerically at the bottom of the screen.
PBS y'all the 🐐 for this 😂😂😂
Not even in a 100 billion years I would think this would happen on this channel.🤣
Same, but great advertising for both shows!
Funny flick - The Rock and Ryan played well together.
Kudos to the Antiques Roadshow for playing along!
I ain't ashamed to say I sat through the entire movie, and liked it!
This is really sweet. Thank you Ryan, thank you Lark.
Brilliant! Lark is actually a great actor. If I had no idea who Ryan Reynolds was, I would think this was real! 😁
At least there was one actor in the scene
I thought it was real (not the bagel part) until I started reading the comments. I didn't know what Ryan Reynolds looked like so i was fooled.
The item looked more like 1700s/1800s to me than Egyptian, not to mention they wouldn't show anything of, shall we say, such suspiciously questionable provenance. Even though I don't recognize Reynolds on site, I suspected it was a comedy sketch. The bagel sealed the deal.
I did, could srsly not suss it out!
The ending was the best! Loved it
Nothing better than knowing the producers and others have a great sense of humor at AR. Great job.
My mom used to make me watch this on pbs13 on the weekend i used to dislike it for being boring. Now I'm an adult I've obtained so many cool things from watching this show as a child. I love this show. Thank You, your program inspired a lot of people💚💛❤. This was hilarious by the way. Hope you guys stay on forever.
I totally agree. It’s hilarious how much we change when we get old 😄😄😄
Mine hit me much earlier in life. Put off taking a Journalism class until my last quarter - finishing 2 B.A.s at once. Passed the class because I was the only student to answer an exam essay question regarding a Supreme Court decision correctly, as no one in the class had read the text- including me! But Dad forcing us to watch the evening news each night with dinner as a kid had the info implanted in my brain! Parents actually know what they're doing sometimes!
Having Reynolds on there was a brilliant move.
I love that a lot of the big names of the show wanted to be in on this, so they're all in the background trying to "look natural". Though it's fascinating comparing how "wrong" all the little details feel to the background of a normal episode.
Nice. Had to watch it again to see them.
Right. I didn't see any 300 pounders with a sweat pant wedgie. That told me this wasn't real.
@@dgoddard
😂🤣😂🤣😂
I legit clicked thinking it was real. I'm not even mad - this is the most creative promo I've ever been tricked into seeing. 💕
I love the Antiques Roadshow appraisers playing it straight. Funny.
This is just pure brilliance, who ever came up with this idea deserves that Egg!
well.... at least a boiled egg.
No not that egg. LOL its a prop. How about a golden egg?
Give whoever initially pitched this idea a raise!
My Antiques Roadshow heart just burst with pure joy!
I just watched Red Notice and I’m an avid fan of ARS, loved this!
Too funny,..I've been waiting for SNL to spoof Antiques Roadshow for years, and Ryan beat them to it.
Love this. Watched the movie last night and this is a great add on. Good for Antiques Roadshow for playing along.
Amazingly brilliant. Reynolds knows how to market! The fact that Red Notice is not even mentioned once kills me.
I don't watch TV so I don't recognize most actors, like him. I didn't realize this was a spoof at first. I thought the guy was a total nut job. That only made the whole skit funnier for me.
Same!
I mean, he is married to Blake Lively and he does large budget movies usually...but who goes to movies anymore. I would have loved to have just watched your face not realizing who it was! Lol
@@kkittycatkat1990 I don't know who Blake Lively is either, or what roles she has played. I used to be a flight attendant and generally worked in first class. I'd have so-called "famous" people sitting up there, but I never had a clue until another crewmember told me. I bet that really pissed off the "stars". I treated them like every other person in the FC cabin. I haven't had a TV for about 20 years and can't remember the last time I went to the movie theater. I prefer live entertainment that actually requires talent, like the ballet or opera.
@@AFAskygoddess "that actually requires talent" - oh please. He had you fooled. Get a life.
He is a total nut job. He's hiwarious.
Two of my favorite things combined. More, please!!!
Perfect timing, since I watched the movie last night.
The outtake at the end🤣🤣🤣
So freaking funny. Omgosh! I loved this. And, I learned about these beautiful eggs. Thank you all for this laugh.
I've been on a Antiques Roadshow binge and this was a wonderful surprise. I just hope this fellow gets his things in order.
This was done as a joke!! The "Collector" is Ryan Reynolds the actor!
Considering how most objects from two or more thousand years ago tend to be just broken bits of pottery or damaged sculpture, that there are three of these eggs with such remarkable design surviving in such fabulous condition is truly amazing. Kind of puts a Faberge egg in the shade.
This seems so genuine, i can't tell it's sarcasm
Especially considering all the crazy stuff poor Nolan had to go through to retrieve it - it’s amazing it held up through all that!
I love that Ryan is doing fun cameos on a platform like this.
I watched the movie 2 days ago and loved it. Now I see this and laughed instantly. Good job.
only 200 views, and yet the algorithm knows I wanted this. 🤣
I see what you did there, PBS. 🤣
When I saw the thumbnail, I thought that sure looks like Ryan Reynolds 🤣 ....loveeee our Canadian boy! 😍
It terrifies me that two weeks ago I started binge watching AR videos, and now my life long love Ryan shows up for this, I’m happy and not surprised at all to see it
Ryan Reynolds always good for a chuckle..
Great deliveries
They definitely should make more!
I love antique road shows 👌🏼👌🏼👌🏼 since I was a teen I became interested in this show, and I continue to do so.
This is perfect.Ryan is a great actor.
I love this guy, he's hilarious. 😂
Ryan Reynolds is such an idiot. I love him so much.🤣
I wish I was married to that idiot❤️
I ❤️this nugget. Waited for, "when I saw this from across the room..." Sigh, didn't happen 😔. Used to luv when the twins would flip over items ❤️.
This just made my day better.
Okay. I admit it. I was fooled until I read the comments. I was wondering why "Nolan" was so impatient and telling the appraiser that his family disowned him and how he acquired the egg.
This was funny once I found out the truth.
I was more or less fooled as well. I thinking I'm going to have to compare a screen grab of "Nolan" to a photo of Ryan Reynolds after they reveal the value of the egg... Jokes on me.
I love Antiques Roadshow, and Ryan Reynolds!
His capacity to promote deserve awards
I thought that maybe the egg was a prop and Ryan would “accidentally “ knock it off the table.
Love this guy!!
Proud Canadian right there !!!

Haha… I just love Ryan Reynolds this man is hysterical!!
It does look like a half-eaten bagel.
I have recently been binging antiques roadshow and being a Ryan's fan - this truly was a top notch content! Thank you!
This was epic. I loved Red Notice!!! And i thought this was a real episode tooo!!
Is that Ryan Reynolds’s ?
Yes Ryan Reynolds
Freakin' hilarious! Kudos to whomever came up with the idea. 😁
Lol i love this show. Like i dont in my real life much care at all about furniture or old timey stuff, but i used ti watch this show 15 years ago when i was a kid with my mom and again now with my girl and my son. Its just idk a family activity. Watching this show fills my heart with nostalgia. Memories of times as precious as the things ppl bring in, maybe more. This last couple years have been hard. Like really hard, for alot if ppl. Its just nice to know there are still good things to live for.. strange how a nerdy pbs show touches my soul in the most peculiar way.
Just goes to show how much of a fan following antiques roadshow has.
That was awesome. I am going to watch the movie just because I appreciate the originality of this trailer (and because Reynolds is hilarious).
"So. Cut to the quick. How much?"
"Well, old son. If this was a family heirloom handed down to a little old lady from Indiana. It would be worth 100 million. However, since it's you. It's worth 10 to 20 in Leavenworth. Officers, do your duty. And, I'll take that." [Grabs the egg and takes about 5 steps back]
Roll the closing song.

Two of my favorite things! Handsome celebrity and Antiques Roadshow! 😂
Haha this is great!! Terrific way to advertise both the film and the show!
hahahaha Ryan Reynolds is so funny and hilarious in all his roles ;-)
That was great. Ryan Reynolds is the best and Lark ain't too shabby either!
Lark is the real star in this clip. 💖💖💖💖 Oscar worthy performance. That’s a professional right there! Love this! Clever and fun!!!
What a great add for antique roadshow!!!!!!
Too funny Ryan! 🤣😂🤣
Cheers to Ryan Reynolds giving a cool glow-up to the Antiques Roadshow. PBS is making a comeback.
I thoroughly enjoyed that.
I love that Antiques Roadshow did this with him.
This is great, and too much of a coincidence for me. I watched the new Netflix movie Red Notice last night and this pops up this morning. Good movie.
I know we all NEEDED this. Thanks ☺️
This was more amusing than the movie!
I’m quite sure I’m gonna wake up in the middle of the night laughing
Well that was a surprise. I thought those eggs were worth so much more.
This is marketing aimed directly at me, I’m now a Ryan Reynolds fan.
"I'm slowly...ummm passing away here. Get to the nuggets" 🤣🤣
“Yeah I am totally passing away here” 😂😂😂
I THOUGHT it was him! How did they get them to do this lol
This was brilliant!
"I'm totally passing away here..."
🤣
So clever how Antiques Roadshow was worked into this movie ad. Love it.
You never know where Ryan is going to turn up.
Too funny!
Priceless Punk. You had me for a bit lol Love it!
“It looks like a half eaten bagel!”
…..while Ryan’s chewing on the other half. 😂😂😂😂
I don’t recall a higher value for anything else on the Roadshow. And, I don’t ever recall seeing a celebrity bringing his museum find in to be appraised! 🤡
Hilarious. Lark and Nicho, kudos on your acting chops!!! (Although I question the Egyptian-ness of that egg...😄)
If you missed it. there is an additional segment to this video, where Ryan cracks the egg open and cooks its' content in a very large frying pan...
So funny...I clicked on this before I knew it was Reynolds😆
