    I own the Aer Tech Sling and that was fine until pandemic where I need to bring a lot more stuff than usual. (bring my own food, hand sanitizer, A7 or A5 water flasks.) I think this Travel Sling2 is a welcome upgrade. The side tabs aside from a potential area for a hero clip or carabiner are also used as counterpulls when using the aqua guard zips which are a bit stiff than usual. And lastly, the straps below is a welcome option in case I need to bring a good size umbrella or a jacket. Oh, intend to use it as a my daily carry to work.

      I have a Tech Sling 2 as well. I'm glad you mentioned the A7 or A5 bottle because one of my biggest problems with these slings was the water bottle situation. I have a nalgene 16 oz from REI that technically fits comfortably (I do recommend that size for travel btw), but it takes up much-needed room in the open space that could be better used for other things (since space is limited/restricted due to size and the pockets aren't very big). The solution someone gave me was an A7 or A5 water bottle, in this case, Memobottle. And that helped a lot and it fit in one of the big pockets. However, buying a $25-$30+ water bottle just for this bag may be too much for some especially if you didn't buy this as an everyday carry but more of a secondary bag.

    the best sling in the price i could find to fit perfectly with my ipad pro + magic keyboard and plenty rooms for headphone , book and water bottle. High quality and so minimal design

    How is your tech pouch so slim??? You should do a what's in your tech pouch video.

  • @scorben12
    @scorben12 Před 3 lety +5

    I think the compression straps are there more for a extra carry point like a jacket or tripod.

    • @PackHacker2
      @PackHacker2  Před 3 lety +1

      They could be used for that. You may find them a little to far apart depending on what you want to attach.

    I'm shopping for a sling for my edc. Do you think that if you remove the notebook, keyboard, and headphones, you could fit a steam deck in it's case in there with the laptop and a tech pouch? Thanks!

  • @jfchevrier15
    @jfchevrier15 Před rokem +1

    hello. Great review, thank you. Quick question: It takes a 16 inch laptop. Is that a 16 inch in the video ? Seems that there is still room. Do you think it could handle a 17 inch laptop ?

    Looking forward to the 3rd edition, and hope it gets fidlocks, as I am lookong for a cheaper sling than the oberexpensive Errant sling.

    I bought this recently. I can't help but notice that the quick access pocket on mine has fleece lining, unlike the one in the video. Has anyone experienced the same thing?

      Good point E V! This sling doesn't allow for a seamless use for lefties. We wish more brans allowed for an ambidextrous strap, like the Pacsafe Venturesafe, for example: packhacker.com/travel-gear/pacsafe/venturesafe-x-anti-theft-sling-pack/#pricing-comparison

    • @PackHacker2
      @PackHacker2  Před 3 lety +1

      A mirrorless camera and small lens would definitely fit but there are better bags for that. We would want some more protection if we were to carry those. You may want to consider the Peak Design Everyday Sling or the Moment Rugged Camera Sling.

    I’m a righty have to sling over right shoulder AER is famous for doing this they have great looking bags I think they could put more effort into the strapping hate straps that just dangle. Peak design has incorporated there access straps to be tucked inside koodos to peak for a wonderful idea. Great looking bag but too many important features that don’t pass 🤷🏻‍♀️
