The Odyssey is a bit larger in diameter than the upgraded Jupiter 2. The "new" J2 was 98 feet (30 meters) across. The Odyssey is 143 feet across (43.5 meters).
@markous57 Thanks for the comment! Actually - and perhaps I shouldn't admit this - the Odyssey's quieter engines are sampled from the Jupiter 2's engine sound. It is lowered in pitch by several octaves and blended with a couple of subtle electronic effects. The Director's intention is to have more of a "stealth" sound :)
that doesn't stop Alpha Control Press from continuing to publish books based on Lost IN Space, or TIme Tunnel, Land of the Giants or Voyage....they don't have a license....and they tried to sue us for copyright infringement even though we rewroite the technical descriptions and biographies in our books.
Very, very nice! A bit of a cross between the Jupiter 2 and Forbidden Planet. You can definitely see the bow to the past and the future all in one ship! I loved what you had done with the Jupiter 2 and look forward to your web series launch!
Why didn't ya'll just get offical permission to a full fledged Lost In Space Jupiter 2 web series??? Kevin Burns is a very nice approachable person...thats how we got our license to publish our book.
The sound is good but I think you should still work on it a little more. As I am sure you know The Jupiter 2 sound was incredible even by todays standards. It would really be a plus for your series to strive for a better sound. Just my opinion. Great ship though.
Looks great Ron, I see a mix of several classic saucers here...(C-57D, Jupiter 2, and Klattu's ship from The Day The Earth Stood Still) am I missing any?

She sounds just right to me.
Very powerful, yet soothing on the ears.

I want one!
Looks like it could be the grandchild of the C-57D
Ron, Nice Work! I cannot wait to see a re-entry scenario, and the sounds of the "new lady" landing. Thank You for my early Christmas present! ;)
Heard this in my back yard the other night when I let the dog out...didn't see anything in the sky though.

Wonderful! :)
@Haselius00 Sorry , I had the base set too high on my new speakers. It sounds much better now.
Keep it up, give us what we love. Thanks.

Quite good sounds!
is this in the universe of Lost in Space or Forbidden Planet?
Again, looks great!
@3dartistguy Burns issued a cease and desist order to the producers via his lawyer. He didn't want to discuss the issue.
