  • This marks the beginning of a new series that hopefully will have some longevity on this channel. This series discusses production logos, closing logos, and vanity plates. Specifically, we will explore both the iconic and the surreal, the well-known and the ghastly, and the immortal and the unbearable. Well, maybe it won't be as dramatic.
    This video will serve as a primer for the Logo Corner videos and allow you all to understand the premise and process of each video in question. Hopefully you all will indulge and enjoy the logos offered here. Thanks for taking the time to watch this. Please comment!

    Are you going to talk about the Vid TV/BND (a.k.a. the Russian mask of doom), Viacom (a.k.a. The V of Doom), Hellas Kosmos ( the Greek logo with a catchy as hell 80s synth music), and the rare MGM logos in your future videos?

    Well! Nice to see Tom from Tom and Jerry as an avatar there, Hobbes.
    And I like this new little piece you've made there.

    When I first saw this in my subscription box, I thought you'd gone crazy or were grasping at straws for material. But after watching this, color me intrigued.

    No offense, but the minute I hear/see the word "Logo", I'm immediately reminded of Guptill89 and his whining about rapidly changing logos. The fact that logos are the main subject in these videos, I half-expect Dylan to pop up out of nowhere and ramble about them all over again.

      OwlEye2010 Yeah. I hope he'd be smart enough to not do a commentary on these videos considering almost everyone and their brother got on him for the whole logo business.

    • @Brainulator9
      @Brainulator9 Před 8 lety

      Yes, actually! My family is aware of this and I regularly check Logopedia (perhaps once daily) whenever a rebrand occurs. I noticed this with Vevo for one, since I listen to music quite a bit -guess who- and some thumbnails display both the 2013 and 2016 logos!
      It's the very reason I say "nooooo, stop using the 1990 Viacom logo for the current Viacom since they're not the same company from a legal standpoint!" I also immediately understood 5:26 (since The Coca-Cola Company owned Columbia and TriStar in 1980s).

      Yeah, logo plastering is a big pet peeve of mine (especially when it comes to Sony)

    Logos have gotten less creative and more dull, this so-called "simpleness" is making the concept of the logos less intelligent and less artistic. A good example is the Windows Logo.

    • @Wolfdragoness
      @Wolfdragoness Před 9 lety +1

      Yea...they need to learn to realize that when it comes to logos, less is better. I learned about creating logos during graphic design class. Creating logos can be pretty difficult sometimes though

      Wolfdragoness The Dollar bill doesn't disappoint to evolve in detail, especially the Hundred Dollar bill. The new blue holographic stripe in the middle of it and how it's adding the creativity art in the currency, the reason why things change this way is to keep from counterfeiting and plagiarism.

    • @Wolfdragoness
      @Wolfdragoness Před 9 lety

      Darkstar Archangel Ah, thats a very reasonable decision :) Still gotta be careful to make sure you dont make the logos too crazy otherwise it'll become an eyesore
