I passed this man while working. In the moment I didn't know he was a minister. But he held the door open for me, made eye contact with a smile.
The only reason I think I can recall this, is because that's the most human encounter I've had with any politician, of any party.
I haven't got a vast number of interactions to draw from, as I don't typically work from London. Add to that, this is an incredibly low bar.
But it's a bar quite a few couldn't reach. Let alone a minister walking around his department.
Politically I imagine we'd mostly clash, but he treats strangers with at least a shread of dignity.
