Hi Amanda! Great idea - maybe we should do another video where our model has hair that hasn't been prepped with volumizing products.
To get the natural volume before backcombing (like our model in the video), we recommend prepping the hair with volumizing products during the blowdry. Using a great mousse or volumizing spray paired and a round brush when blowing your hair dry can help to give a natural volume at the crown.

+CanadianCowgirl1955 It's similar to Big Sexy Hair Powder Play which you can find at Ulta. You just need a little, tiny bit at the roots and rub it in with your fingers and it gives you instant volume. It may feel sticky on your fingers but it doesn't make your hair greasy or sticky looking.
